New Sports Books Published About Baseball
Thomas Gilbert has delivered an interesting topic for us to consider called, “ How Baseball Happened: Outrageous Lies Exposed! the True Story Revealed” Parts of the book don’t have new information as he describes the origins of baseball players that very few fans have ever heard about from the mid-1800s.
None of these were close to getting a Cooperstown Hall of Fame plague but their place in history has helped put the game of baseball where it is today. Gilbert is fine with letting his readers know they have been duped when discussing baseball history. names like Doubleday and Cartwright were not the inventors of the game. He tells how the first game wasn’t played in Hoboken, New Jersey but was in Brooklyn.
Baseball fans should have this on their bookshelf with a publish date of September 15, 2020.
New Sports Books Published About Social Issues
This very interesting and timely book called, “Football’s Fearless Activists: How Colin Kaepernick, Eric Reid, Kenny Stills and Fellow Athletes Stood Up to the NFL and President Trump” discuss how September 1, 2016 will be the date many historian will use as the beginning of the talking point that Black Lives Matter movement got its start.
Simon and Schuster Publishing and author Mike Freeman take a deep examination into the taking a knee of quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the ramifications that occurred over 4 years later. The fact that many believe it was racial inequality that was the impetus and others viewed it as a ridicule of the American heritage. Even with the president getting involved, the divide couldn’t be healed.
Social issues are two sided but this book could help you as to your thoughts on taking a knee. The book is scheduled to be published on September 15, 2020.
