BOXING TITLE FIGHT

Title fight: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde, 12 rounds, for Kovalev’s WBO light heavyweight title in Chelyabinsk, Russia on August 24, 2019.

There is a definite advantage for Kovalev when it comes to experience and competition as the 3-time light heavyweight champion takes the canvas. He has 28 knockouts and has won 33 of 36 fights. He was out of sorts when defeated by Eleider Alvarez but got a rematch and worked hard and went on to win by unanimous decision.

Yarde is 18-0 with 17 knockouts but hasn’t face anyone with the power of Kovalev. He jumped at the chance to get this fight and now is training for it. At 28 years of age, he has defeat Sjekloca and Sequeria with sharp jabs. Being quicker than his opponent in this fight, he must rely on that to win thi fight.

Kovalev -200

Yarde +165

Prediction: This is difficult to do as Kovalev is likely to win but the value comes with Yarde. I am taking Sergei Kovalev to win.
