March Madness has wrapped up and given fans some unbelievable moments. The games from start to finish were filled with impactful moments that will live on in history. Let’s uncover some of the best games that we were able to witness this past March Madness tournament.

Fairleigh Dickinson vs Purdue

The First Round gave us some amazing surprises but the biggest one was Purdue’s loss to Farliegh Dickinson. This was the second time a 1 Seeded team lost to the 16 Seed.

Player of the year, Zach Edey, scored 21 points and collected 15 rebounds in this loss. The expectations were high for Purdue to have a strong tournament, many had them reaching the Final Four and even going on to the Finals.

Purdue has always struggled in March Madness these past few years and their struggles continue to hold their program back from progress.

Michigan State vs Kansas State

One of the best matchups from the Sweet Sixteen. The eclectic atmosphere at the Garden complimented this Overtime thriller. Kansas State showed their strength in this one by beating Michigan State.

The most impressive performance from this game was by guard Markquis Nowell. Nowell scored 20 points and dished out a tournament record 19 assists.

After this round and an exit by UCLA, I imagined this Kansas State team being one of the strongest to win the National title. Falling short to FAU was a disappointing way to exit the tournament.

UCLA vs Gonzaga

In what might have been one of the best games of the tournament, this UCLA vs Gonzaga matchup gave fans everything! The Zags eliminated the favorite Bruins by 3 points.

Drew Timme’s impressive scoring night with 36 points and 13 rebounds was more than enough to comeback and win this game. UCLA’s star player, Jamie Jaquez Jr showed his talented ability by scoring 29 points along with 11 rebounds.

Timme finished a fantastic College career this year. His time with the Zags over a span of years has established his name as one of the main faces of College Basketball.

UCLA were the early favorites to win it all, their disappointing March campaign was one of the more shocking exits.

Miami vs Texas

The Hurricanes were one of the most surprising ranked teams in this tournament. Their path to the Final Four was by far one of the hardest paths in hisotry. Along this path, the Canes faced a strong 2 Seed Texas team.

Being down by 10 late into the second half was not enough to keep the Canes down against Texas. This win saw a great late comeback and a win to send the Hurricanes to their first Final Four.

This impressive game was definitely one of the best highlights of the tournament. It was an incredible display of talent by Miami’s squad to close this tough game out.
