Caleb Love-North Carolina $4800

For the most part Caleb Love has been a bit of a disappointment during his freshman campaign. The 13th ranked player in the 2020 recruiting class is shooting just 30.2% from the field on the season and just 23.7% from behind the arc.

All of that said, he is coming off of a brilliant game against Wake Forest where he put up 34.3 fantasy points and filled the stat sheet with 20 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. Despite the poor shooting overall on the season Love has also drilled five of his last nine attempts from deep and could be turning the corner. North Carolina State is just 250th in the nation in opponents three-point percentage and 228th in opponents effective field goal percentage.

It may be a bit of a longshot to roster Love at this point (especially in a 50/50) but at this price point he is an excellent tournament play as he only needs 24 fantasy points to give you an outstanding 5x value with little to no risk.

Tyrese Martin-Connecticut $6800

With James Bouknight currently on the shelf with an elbow injury Tyrese Martin has become the most productive perimeter player on the Huskies roster. Like most players that you’ll find in these recommendation articles, Martin is a player that does it all. He is not a tremendous scorer but instead fills the stat sheet and can maintain tremendous value even when he is having an off shooting night.

In his last two games, Martin has totaled 69.5 fantasy points and has scored at least 29.9 fantasy points in four of his last five games. While Creighton is a decent defensive team, Martin is going to play around 35 minutes in the game and will produce in one way or another. At $6800 he also won’t blow your budget.

Armando Bacot-North Carolina $5600

It is less than desirable to recommend two players from the team but this matchup is just too juicy. North Carolina State is 275th in the nation in opponents offensive rebounding percentage and that plays right into the Tar Heels’ strengths. Bacot doesn’t play a ton of minutes but is tremendously productive while he is on the court. He has scored at least 16.5 fantasy points in his last three games and has gone over 30 in two of the three.

Bacot is the recommendation here due to consistency but Day’Ron Sharpe would be a recommendation as well given that he is a few hundred bucks cheaper and will play basically the same minutes.

Also of note is that North Carolina State center Manny Bates is questionable for the game with an ankle injury.

Liam Robbins-Minnesota $7400

Another big man on the list and another player that won’t necessarily blow up your budget. Robbins isn’t exactly a household name but he is a best on the offensive end. Luckily for daily fantasy players, defensive isn’t a factor. While Robbins is tremendously productive averaging 28.89 points per game on the season he is even more effective at home.

In the Golden Gophers last six home games, the Minnesota big man has not scored less than 28.7 points and has put up DFS scores of 48.8, 28.7, 31, 38.8, 60.8, and 40.1. At this price point there simply is not another player on the board that can give you this type of production while still allowing you the roster flexibility to roster another star or two.
