It’s the final day of the college basketball regular season! Let’s go out in the green after our 5-0 day on Saturday!
Penn State vs Rutgers -5.5
Rutgers has hurt me as a bettor multiple times, but they have stepped up in big spots. The Scarlet Knights will host Penn State on Sunday. The Nittany Lions had a disappointing season, but they were in the green ATS.
However, it will be tough for them to beat Rutgers for the second time this season on Sunday. Penn State is just 4-12 as underdogs this season, and they have to play in New Jersey for this contest.
Ron Harper Jr. has to step up for Rutgers on Sunday. In his first game against Penn State, he only had seven points. This is why the Nittany Lions were able to dominate.
PICK: Rutgers -5.5
Maryland vs Michigan State -6
Michigan State may look like a better team on paper, but they have fallen off the map in the second half of the season. The Spartans are just 1-5 ATS in their last six games, whereas Maryland is 5-1 ATS in their last six contests.
The Terrapins have been on a roll lately, and I do not believe this stops heading into the Big Ten Tournament. A victory on Sunday would give them a winning season. Fatts Russell needs to play big today. He is averaging 14.9 PPG this season for Maryland.
PICK: Maryland +6
UCF -2.5 vs Tulsa
Tulsa is a tough team to beat at home, despite their 9-19 overall record. UCF has been playing good basketball as of late, but they have been shaky on the road. The team is 4-1 ATS in their last five games.
Tulsa is 1-4 ATS in their last five games, so the Knights are playing better at this point. They also have a much better team than the Golden Hurricanes. The spread in this contest is too juicy pass on, considering they are only -2.5.
PICK: UCF -2.5/ML
#24 Iowa vs #20 Illinois -3.5
An underdog is a hungry dog, and hungry dogs run faster. Iowa lost to Illinois in December, so they should be ready to take on the Illini on Sunday. The Hawkeyes are 6-3 SU in their past nine games against Illinois. They are also 4-1 ATS in their past five contests.
The Illini are just 2-5 ATS in their past seven games. This matchup should come down to the wire, but I like the Hawkeyes to come out on top. They must shut down Kofi Cockburn in the paint.
The center is averaging a double-double per game, so if he is neutralized, the Hawkeyes should be in a position to cover and win.
PICK: Iowa +3.5
