Top Freshman in College Basketball 2021-2022

It is always fun when a new college basketball season begins and we get to see the top freshman of the year. I am going to list the top 12 for 2021-2022.

TOP FRESHMAN in College Basketball

  1. Paolo Banchero- He will be suiting up for Coach K’s final season at Duke. He is 6’10” and 250 lbs. He is already projected to be the #1 pick in the next NBA draftas the top freshman.
  2. Chet Holmgren– This 7 foot center will be the piece that coach Mark Few has been waiting for at Gonzaga. He can float out to the perimeter and he can score inside.
  3. Patrick Baldwin, Jr. He turned down offers from the powerhouse school to attend Milwaukee, His dad is the coach there. He hopes to get this team to the Horizon League championship and the school to it first NCAA Tourney appearance since 2014.
  4. Kennedy Chandler– Tennessee He is a point guard that ha an strong appetite for winning. He was on the gold medal USA Olympic team and will be instrumental in the success of the Vols and Coach Rick Barnes.
  5. Tyty Washington– He will attend Kentucky after he de-committed from Creighton. He is a strong ball handler and will be given the chore of running the Wildcats offense.
  6. Jo Davison will attend Alabama.  He is a slick ball handler and finisher at the rim.
  7. Kendall Brown is a wingman at Baylor. There is a ton of depth for Head Coach Scott Drew that Brown may start on the bench.
  8. Caleb Houstan– He is a 6’8″ wing that an also step out and knock down the three ball in the Big Ten at Michigan.
  9. Peyton Watson-This five star place is headed to UCLA and may be a piece to get them to the national championship. He is from Long Beach.
  10. Jabari Smith,Jr.- a five star guard that will be a one and done for Head Coach Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers.
  11. AJ Griffin is headed to Duke. His father is an assistant for the Toronto Raptors. He will make a great pair with our #1 on the list. He is expected to be a lottery pick.
  12. Hunter Sallis is headed to Gonzaga. he is a 6’5″ combo guard that could take Coach Few to the finals.
