Kansas State Wildcats Preview: Finish the Season with a W

The Wildcats have already secured a bowl bid. This week’s game ultimately will determine what bowl game they will attend based on their standing in the Big 12 conference. They are led by their Senior quarterback Skylar Thompson who has over 1,800 yards passing with nine touchdowns. The Senior would love nothing more than to play spoiler on the Longhorns Senior day.

This game will come down to how well they respond. They lost to Baylor last week and only put up 10 points on offense. If they want to beat Texas in Austin they will have to do more than 10 points. Texas Longhorns Preview: Play for Texas Pride

Texas has had a disappointing season, to say the least. They sit at 4-7 with a 2-6 record in the Big 12. This is not what was expected out of the Longhorns in the 2021 season. They come into this one unable to contend for a bowl game so ultimately the prize is simply to play for Texas pride.

Their offensive attack is led by their quarterback Casey Thompson who has over 1,900 yards passing with 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Alongside Thompson is Sophomore running back, Bijan Robinson who has tallied over 1,100 yards on the ground with 11 touchdowns on the season. The Longhorns have playmakers all over the field so this game will be decided by their defense’s ability to keep KSU out of the end zone.
