Huskies Preview: Morris Stays in Control of QB for Huskies
Dylan Morris will have a second start for Washington this season as the starting quarterback. Despite last year’s season being cut short due to covid-19, the Huskies were able to play 4 games last season and Morris got to prove that he can lead the team to victory.
Last season in just 4 games that the Huskies had, Morris threw 879 yards with 6 touchdowns. In a game against Utah last season, Morris led the team to victory in a comeback win. The team was down 21-0 going into the half. They came back to win 24-21 after Morris threw a touchdown pass 36 seconds left in the game.
He has proven to Huskies Offensive coordinator John Donovan that he can be a leader to this team on and off the field as well. He is a player to keep an eye on this season and part of the Huskies’ success.

Last season the Big Sky Conference decided not to hold fall sports including football due to virus concerns. This means that this season will be the first for the Grizzlies since 2019. During the 2019 season, they finished 10-4 and third in the conference.
During the season the offense dominated with scoring. They won against Southeastern Louisiana 73-28 scoring multiple touchdowns each quarter. This season they have some powerhouse players coming back that will be a major plus for the team, including wide receiver Samori Toure.
Samori Toure is one of the most decorated wide receivers in Grizzlies history. Entering his senior season this year; he is the 8th receiver with 2,488 career yards, number 11 on the list of all-time touchdown catches with 20, and number 12 on the all-time pass receptions list with 155.
