• Ohio State has found their groove since dropping a game back in September to Oregon. They have rattled off 8 straight and the Buckey offense is COOKING.
  • Sparty is back…they knocked off rival Michigan two weeks ago and seemingly paid big for losing to Purdue the week after. The committee views them as worse than their in-state counterpart in Ann Arbor. However, they sit at the #7 hole in the CFP rankings and still control their destiny.
  • Playoff and BIG10 implications arise in this BIG10 east showdown, Loser is eliminated from the BIG10 champ and likely the CFP.

The red hot Buckeyes have a showdown scheduled with a resurgent MSU program with soon to be 2nd highest paid HC Mel Tucker at the helm. Both teams will look to light the scoreboard up as both have prolific offenses. MSU led by Kenneth Walker, who has his chance to cement his name in the Heisman race and get the biggest win for the program since 2015.

With a win over UM already this team has shown they can play some big boy football this year and will look to mix it up this Saturday afternoon in Columbus. Ohio State has other plans as this was an all-in year, returning some incredible players in the likes of Chris Olave who could have been a 1st rounder last year, and Garret Wilson who is an all-world WR, that has NFL scouts drooling.

Led by 1st-year starter CJ Stroud, who has found his stride after the 1st loss of the season and has his chemistry dialed with these guys. Both teams will be scoring at will and this game could come down to who has the ball last.

Ohio State vs MSU Matchup at a Glance

Ohio State Preview: If THE Shoe fits, wear it

In the home opener at The Shoe, OSU looked like a shell of itself in terms of their identity and seasons past. Stroud looked like he could be competing for his job, the defense laid down and let the Ducks roll, the crowd sounded like they were at a Church service, rightfully so as Oregon took them to church and met their maker. It has been a different story since for the Buckeyes, as they have rattled off 8 straight, in dominant fashion. Coming in off a trouncing of Purdue who was viewed as a possible upset, they said “whoaaa there guys, watch this” and threw up 59 points in a drumming of who now should be called the “Noshowmakers”.

Averaging 46ppg, a QB who has over 3000 yards, feature back TreVeyon Henderson is running at a high level with over 1000 yards already. Now enter…Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who I left out at the top of this article as he has quickly become the go-to receiver with 1,027 yards and 5TDs and has become the ultimate compliment of the three-headed monster on the perimeter for the Buckeyes.

On the other side of the ball, this is no elite defense, but one that can give you just enough fits to give the ball back to Stroud and his arsenal. THE Shoe has finally fit, and the Bucks have a chance to wear it this Saturday in what will be a clash of titans Saturday.

Michigan State Preview: This is Sparta

The Mark Dantoni era in East Lansing is over, and it is a whole new world with Mel Tucker, turning these men into Spartans in the 2nd year of his tenure. He will look to close the book of the past and be a Spartan for the foreseeable future as a huge deal to make him the 2nd highest-paid coach in football looms.

The identity has switched, the culture has switched and the Spartans are here. The defense has decidedly been a lesser focus of the 21-22 MSU team as the offense is literally running through Heisman Candidate Kenneth Walker III. The offense doesn’t compare on paper all that well to their opponent this weekend, as they have had much less garbage time to Juice that, it will come down to the individual efforts and the rest of the team will look to compliment that, as this is Sparty’s biggest test this year and will need all they have to get it done.

The nation knew what they would get this season with Walker III, but the question remained at QB, and it has been answered by 2nd year Payton Thorne, Thorne saw limited action in a few games last year and it became his job to lose after the transfer of Senior Rocky Lombardi. He has done a great job throwing the ball when needed and getting in the right fits for Kenneth Walker to be successful.

Throwing for 2400 yards and 21 TDs he is certainly living up to his end of the bargain. He will have to play a clean game and toss a couple TDs to his favorite target: Jayden Reed. MSU will need everything they can get if they look to establish themselves as true Spartans in the coliseum of the midwest that awaits them in Columbus,

Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This College Football Game

Ohio State is favored by a whopping 19 points, and I would strongly encourage taking OSU here. I don’t like the points here, as 68.5 is pretty high, and if one or two stops happen early, it could be in jeopardy. Have OSU be a parlay capper for security to cover. Don’t play around with these money lines, +700 is a sucker ML and Vegas wants you to take that. Save your money, win some money, take OSU.
