4)Oklahoma continues to thrive under pressure. Lincoln Riley’s team trailed going into the fourth quarter, and they’d go on to prevail with a last-second go-ahead field goal from Gabe Brkic.

Spencer Rattler’s play in the fourth quarter saved the Sooners’ undefeated record. The sophomore quarterback went 26-36 for 256 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Despite the uninspiring stat line, Rattler led the Sooners into field goal range and Brkic finished the mission.

OU couldn’t get much going on the ground against WVU, but they do have a pair of solid backs in Kennedy Brooks and Eric Gray. Brooks leads the team with 227 rushing yards and three scores, while Gray has added 223 on 45 touches.

Rattler has distributed the ball well through the first four weeks, as four wideouts have caught ten passes for 150 yards so far. Marvin Mims leads the team with ten catches and 193 receiving yards.

Kansas State Wildcats Preview: Can KState Make It Three Straight?

Kansas State jumped out to a good start, winning their first three games at home, but they suffered their first setback last weekend in Stillwater. The Wildcats went down big at halftime and could not recover, losing their first game of the season, 31-20.

KSU has endured its fair share of struggles at the quarterback position. Starter Skylar Thompson went down after the opening win over Stanford. Sophomore Jaren Lewis replaced Will Howard last week and went 12-22 for 154 passing yards with a touchdown and interception in his first snaps as a Wildcat.

Deuce Vaughn is the key to the Kansas State offense. The sophomore back got off to a great start this season, rushing forever 120 yards in each of the first three games. Despite struggling on the ground last week, he scored on a 55-yard catch and run. Phillip Brooks leads the team in receiving with eleven catches for 170 yards.

Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This College Football Game

It’s been a shaky start for Oklahoma, but Kansas State may have more issues of their own. The Sooners have been in a few close contests so far, but those were results of stable quarterback play. Kansas State hasn’t had any type of stability behind center through the first month of the season.

We like the Sooners covering here, as they enter this contest with strong run defense and no red flags behind center. Take Oklahoma’s game spread, and eye the over as Big 12 football could always go the distance and cover the number.
