Oklahoma Sooners Preview: Sooners Face Stiffest Test Yet

6)Oklahoma was able to pull off another hostile win in Manhattan last weekend. The Sooners took a three-point lead into the locker room and held off a late rally from the Wildcats, and picked up their first road win of the season.

Spencer Rattler had another strong performance last weekend. The sophomore quarterback completed 88% percent of his passes, going 22-25 for 243 passing yards with two touchdowns to one interception. Rattler continues to make his case for the Heisman Watch with his timely play.

Kennedy Brooks rebounded with a strong game against KSU. After gaining just 17 yards against West Virginia, the junior back ran for 91 rushing yards on 15 touches, including a 28-yard touchdown run. Eric Gray has added 245 yards on the ground and eight catches this season giving OU a solid tandem.

Rattler has distributed the ball well through the first five weeks, as four wideouts have caught ten passes for 150 yards so far. Michael Woods II scored last weekend, he leads the team with 20 catches while Marvin Mims leads the team with 264 receiving yards.

Texas Longhorns Preview: Can the Longhorns Play Spoiler?

Texas has responded to their road loss to Arkansas with a trio of rivalry wins. The Longhorns will look to win their fourth straight this weekend, and their offense has started to pick things up over the past three games. Texas defeated TCU in Fort Worth last weekend for their first road victory of the season.

Casey Thompson appears to be settling in at quarterback. The junior quarterback hasn’t had to do much due to the dominant run game, but he’s managed the game well since being named a starter in Week 3. Thompson went 12-22 for 142 passing yards with a touchdown and an interception while adding 35 yards on the ground in the win over TCU.

The Longhorns may have a Heisman candidate of their own in Bijan Robinson. The sophomore back topped the 100-yard mark for the fourth time last weekend, going for a career-best 216 rushing yards and two scores. Robinson is a home run hitter and the focal point of this offense.

Sophomore wideout Jordan Whittington has grown into Thompson’s favorite receiver, and he leads the team with 21 catches and 324 receiving yards. Freshman Xavier Worthy is second with 16 catches for 270 yards, and a team-led four touchdowns.

Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This College Football Game

Oklahoma escaped once again last weekend, while Texas avoided a scare themselves. These two schools are as evenly matched as ever, and it’s the Longhorns who oddly enter with a bit more momentum.

Despite Texas’ loss to Arkansas, Oklahoma has been in five closely contested battles, and they haven’t looked as sharp as expected. The Longhorns have finally figured out the quarterback position, and they are starting to hit their stride. The Sooners have struggled to stop the rush this season, and it could be exploited by Bijjon Robinson this weekend.

We like the Longhorns ending their three game-skid at the State Fair. Take Texas’ underdog Moneyline this weekend, and eye the under as the total feels a bit lofty for a pair of two, physical rivals.
