Bijon Robinson
Bijon Robinson is about to be a sophomore at the University of Texas. Robinson put his name on the map his freshman year for the Longhorns. He was able to rush for 1,127 yards on 195 rush attempts as well as 11 rushing touchdowns all in ten games.
In not even a complete season the running back also had 4 receiving touchdowns and averaged the most yards after a reception with 10.7 leading the entire College Football League.
Due to his ability to run and catch I am predicting that he is the best running back in all of College Football next year and may even have a shot at the Heisman Trophy.
TreVeyon Henderson
Coming in at number 2 on my list is TreVeyon Henderson who can arguably be number 1 this upcoming season. Henderson was the best running back last season in my opinion.
For Ohio State, the running back was able to produce 1,248 yards on 183 rush attempts as well as 15 rushing touchdowns. Like Robinson, Henderson was also a great receiving back averaging nearly 12 yards per catch. Henderson will also be a sophomore next season and will look to be a key factor in Ohio State’s National Championship run.
Devon Achane
Coming in at number 3 on my list is Devon Achane, running back for Texas A.M. The running back was able to compile 910 yards on 130 rushing attempts as well as 9 touchdowns.
Achane will be a sophomore next season and will look to help bring the Aggies to the playoffs after they just got the best recruiting class in all of college football. Their recruiting class was ranked the highest grade in all of College Football history. There aren’t many backs that are as strong and explosive as Achane.
Jahmyr Gibbs
Coming in at number 4 on my list is Jahmyr Gibbs who just transferred to the University of Alabama from Georgia Tech. The running back for Georgia was able to put up 746 yards on 143 rush attempts as well as 4 touchdowns.
Gibbs is looking to win and prove he can be a big-time player on a big-time team. Alabama is looking for revenge after losing in the National Championship to the University of Georgia. By adding this experience and proven running back, it is looking good for the Crimson Tide to win it all this year.
Deuce Vaughn
Coming in at five on my list and who might just be my favorite running back to watch in all of College Football is Deuce Vaughn. Deuce Vaughn out of Kansas state is one of the most electric running backs in all of college football.
Vaughn was able to rush for 1,404 yards on 235 rush attempts last season as well as 18 touchdowns. In all-purpose yards, the back managed to have 22 total touchdowns and 1,872 total yards.
Vaughn must have seen television as he was able to break defenders’ ankles and slip through defenders. This will be his Junior year and will look to prove to the NFL that he is capable of being a top running back in the league despite only being 5,6.
