You haven’t quite heard the last of your Emmy Awards betting opportunities from us. In the last article published, we went over the odds for Outstanding Leads in a Comedy Series as well as the odds for Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Drama Series. But there are still a few categories left, and these categories have amazing actors, actresses, and series for you to bet on.
The Emmy Awards offers everybody with a wonderful opportunity to put their money on their favorite shows. You don’t need to be an expert to bet on them either. You just need to know what great shows have aired over the past year, and which ones have a chance to win some awards. If you haven’t been keeping up with recent TV series, be sure to do so before the Emmy Awards Show on September 12, 2022.
Remaining Categories
There are a few categories that we haven’t yet discussed. These include “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series”, “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series”, and “Outstanding Limited Series”. Each category has some amazing picks, so it’ll be hard to figure out who you might want to bet on, but this article should put a few great names on your radar.
The Emmy Awards Show itself has many more categories than those available for betting, so if you love to watch TV, be sure to tune in on September 12. It will air on NBC and it’s also available for streaming on Peacock, for the first time in the show’s history. By watching, you’ll find out what shows you may have missed, and whether or not your favorite shows are as beloved by the judges as they are to you.
Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series
The nominees for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series” include Zendaya (Euphoria), Melanie Lynskey (Yellowjackets), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Laura Linney (Ozark), Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), and Resse Witherspoon (The Morning Show). All of these actresses are amazing, but only one can win.
Zendaya is expected to take home the award, with odds 2-5. Right behind her is Melanie Lynskey for her work in Yellowjackets, with odds 11-4. Laura Linney isn’t too far behind, with odds 13-4.
Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series
Now for the gentlemen. Brian Cox (Succession), Jeremy Strong (Succession), Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), and Adam Scott (Severence) have all been nominated for the award.
Brian Cox is expected to win for his roll as Logan Roy in Succession, with odds 10-13. Lee Jung-jae is right behind him, with odds 10-11 for his performance in Squid Game.
Outstanding Limited Series
Limited series may be short, but they make an impressive impact on the television industry. This year, The Dropout, Dopesick, The White Lotus, Inventing Anna, and Pam & Tommy have all been nominated for the “Outstanding Limited Series Award”.
Dopesick is expected to win with odds 5-4. The White Lotus is right behind it with odds 5-8.
Author’s Pick
As previously stated, I’m quite the Succession fan. If I could give everyone in that cast an Emmy, I would. Obviously, my pick goes to Brian Cox for “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series”. I’m also going with Zendaya as “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series”, and The White Lotus to take home the “Outstanding Limited Series” award.
