The online bookmaker Betway continues to emerge in the sports and gaming world as it recently teamed up with Immortals Gaming Club’s (IGC) Brazilian esports organization MIBR in launching ‘Feitos no Brasil’, a held try-out for those hoping to make the CS:GO Academy team. The event put on display by Betway began on July 7th and is permitted to players that are 13 years old or older. The search for the perfect team will come to a finish on August 8th with just one player being granted a spot on MIBR’s academy roster.
How the Scouting Will Work
The project targets the mission of discovering high caliber players through IGC’s Brazilian gaming platform known as Gamers Club.
The first three weeks of Feitos no Brasil will involve MIBR’s strategic coach Renato ‘nak’ Nakano monitoring the Gamers Club matches to analyze potential players that can fill in the final academy roster spot. You can stream the scouting process on the MIBR’s coach’s Twitch channel with the top 20 players receiving a Gamers Club badge.
Moving on to the events final two weeks we will witness the chosen players be divided amongst four teams to compete in the Feitos no Brasil Tournament. As the tournament comes to a close, both coach Nakano and MIBR’s academy coach, Henrique ‘rikz’ Waku, will decide on one player that will be joining the organization for the future.
Esports Director of Betway Adam Savinson couldn’t be more thrilled with his company’s move to the Brazilian market saying, “Brazil has such an incredible pool of CS:GO talent and we’re really proud to support the search for the next big star with Feitos no Brasil by Betway.”
While the scouting process will appear on Nakano’s twitch channel, you can expect the same for the tournament stage. Brazilians tuning into the Betway hosted event will be given the opportunity to earn rewards such as Gamers Club Plus subscriptions, signed MIBR jerseys, and customized MIBR flags.
MIBR Director Yuri ‘Fly’ Uchiyama left little open for interpretation in saying, “Feitos no Brasil is a direct translation of Made in Brazil to Portuguese, which is meant to wake local players up from their slumber after pursuing the dream for so long.”
If anything, this partnership between Betway and MIBR is a bright spot for the iGaming industry. Regardless of whether the talent is beyond exceptional, partnerships like these create buzz and an interesting activation, while also promoting IGC’s Gamers Club platform on the side. Betway continues to create noise as it reaches an agreement with yet another esports organization.
