The Mass Effect Legendary Edition trailer dropped recently as earlier this month Bioware showed some of the vast improvements through a comparison video via IGN. In EA’s remaster version the developers outlined some of the differences fans should expect in the game.

In the older versions of the game, there were a few bugs and glitches in terms of placement of the characters and where the characters are looking when speaking. Players of the previous releases stated that they experienced some difficulties like the AI not responding to certain commands quickly and feeling rushed when fighting waves of enemies.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition should showcase improvements to the visual effects, the different environments, and most importantly the texture and graphics of the game. The characters just look sharper in the new trailer with all the improvements in the design and graphics.

The Mass Effect Legendary Edition is set to remaster the entire original Mass Effect trilogy in 4K with a bunch of updates with every DLC. It will have over 40 downloadable DLC’s, which include weapons, armor packages, and stories in the numerous packages. It also includes a single-player base content.

The one thing that will not be available will be the multiplayer mode for this edition. However, the game will have less tedious side missions. Players will be able to use all weapons classes without being penalized for it and for melee, it will have its own button. A new photo mode will allow players to pause the gameplay to capture every detail in the missions.

The game will be available on numerous platforms on May 25th. The platforms include on PC, Steam, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and will have backward compatibility on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game will also be optimized for 4K Ultra HD with HDR compatibility which will bring commander Shepard to life.

The Project Director on the Mass Effect Legendary Edition and lead writer of the original trilogy at BioWare, Mac Walters, stated that “There’s never been a better opportunity to experience the epic story of the original trilogy, whether you’re new to the franchise, or looking to replay it for the 10th time”.

“This isn’t just a passion project for our team at BioWare, it’s something we know the fans have wanted for a very long time, and we’ve dedicated all of our efforts to make sure every enhancement we’ve made to this iconic journey feels like Mass Effect”.

The Mass Effect Legendary Edition could be a setup for something bigger in the works for the franchise. After this game is released, can the fans see a sequel coming out in the near future? This will be the franchise’s biggest test so far due to the high expectations.

It will be interesting to see how the fans of the franchise and the new players of the game will react when the game is released to the public as fans will be able to revisit some of the memories they had playing this game.
