Top 5 Golfers That Could Win
Brooks Koepka: Koepka has not had the start we all expected for him to have. He started the year off as the number one golfer in the world rankings but he has now dropped back to third. He has not had any top 10 finishes so far this year and he is battling a knee injury that is a little more serious than we originally thought.
Justin Rose: Rose has had a rough start so far this year along with Koepka. No top tens so far and has been outside the top 20 of his events only once. For the 13th best in the world rankings, he could get the momentum going with a win here.
Rickie Fowler: Fowler placed second in this event last year. For the 25th best in the world rankings, he is somehow an underdog in my eyes. He has two top 10 finishes this year.
Billy Horschel: Horschel might be the dark horse here and should definitely be on everyone’s radar. He has four top 10 finishes so far this year, which is just as many as he had all of last year. This man is on a hot streak right now and could get a win very soon.
Tommy Fleetwood: Fleetwood has been very close in cracking the top 10 in the world golf rankings. At 12th, he has been quite consistent in his play but he has not been able to place in the top 10 at events so far this year.
Potential Winner of the 2020 Honda Classic
This tournament is one of the more difficult ones to play in each year and it is fun to watch as the winners of these events usually play with a strong mentality. The scores for this event are very modest, and not one player is completely going to run away with it.
There are a few golfers that make a strong case for this event and a few long shots that make this interesting. However, for this time around, this event will most likely be won by Rickie Fowler. I think he is playing better than his world golf ranking implies.
With a second place finish last year he played very well to earn that spot, especially with the former number one golfer at the time fighting for a spot in Koepka. Coming off of a recent fifth-place tie at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, he could have all of the momentum needed to claim a victory here.
