The Royal Ascot begins on Tuesday, June 14 and continues through Saturday, June 18. Each day there will be seven races on the card. They begin at 9:30 am. and concluded at 1:10 pm. That is 2;30 in the afternoon til 6;10 in the evening in Berkshire, England where it is held.
Royal Ascot 2022 – Grade 1 Races
The highest worldwide rating of races in Grade 1 and there are eight of them among the 28 races in the Royal Ascot. On opening day. June 14, there are three of these Grade 1 races. There will be Queen Anne Stakes for horses 4 years old and older; the King’s Stand Stakes for horses 3 years old and older; and the St. James’ Palace Stakes for 3-year-old colts.
June 15 will feature Prince of Wales’s Stakes for horse 4 years old and older. then on June 16, the Gold Cup is being conducted for horses 4 years old and older and this is a stamina race with it being 2.5 mile race.
A couple more Grade 1 races will be held on Friday, June 17. they are the Commonwealth Cup and that is for 3 year old colts and fillies. then the Coronation Stake swill be run for 4 years old and older. the final day of the Royal Ascot is the Jubilee Stakes for horse 4 years old and older.
Royal Ascot 2022 Has Breeders’ Cup Implications
The Breeders’ Cup will be held on November 4-5 at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky. four of the Royal Ascot races are “Win and You’re In” which guaranteed the winners of the Queen Anne Stakes, King Stand Stakes, Prince of Wales’s Stakes and the Norfolk Stakes all get expenses paid spot.
