ICE Totally Gaming is one of the biggest conferences in the gambling industry.
In the past, a series of ICE events have been held in London, but in a few days, North America will be hosting its first-ever conference for the interactive gaming and sports betting sectors.
The event is organized by Clarion Gaming, and they will be partnering with other key players in the gambling industry to make the conference a success.
ICE North American Conference Agenda
The upcoming ICE North American Conference is the first of its kind to be held in the US, and the event comes exactly a year since the repeal of the 1992 PAPSA Rule by the SCOTUS.
The Boston Convention Center in Boston will have the honors of hosting this premier event. The conference will run from May 13 to May 15.
The objective of the three-day conference is to discuss issues pertaining to the gambling industry. The topics will range from sports betting to esports, iGaming, iLottery, and affiliate marketing.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the gambling sector by attending informative seminars and interacting with expert panelists.
There will also be an exhibition floor where various stakeholders will be providing the attendees with insight on their products and services.
Highlights of ICE North American Conference
The conference will feature lots of sessions where the most valuable players in the gambling sector will be addressing issues related to legal sports betting and interactive gaming.
These sessions will run on the second and final days of the event.
Even though it will be impossible to attend all the meetings in the schedule, there are a few that you can’t afford to miss.
Here is a sneak peek of the conference schedule:
After pre-event registration on the evening of May 13, ICE North American Conference will officially kick off on May 14, which marks the first anniversary of regulated sports betting in the US.
The first session of the day will be held from 9 am to 9.50 am, and the stakeholders will be looking at what it takes to build a new sports wagering industry from the ground up.
Next features the meeting will have some of the most notable figures in the gambling sector. Among them will be the CEO of William Hill, USA, Joe Asher. Also headlining the event is Wes Edens, the co-owner of Aston Villa Football Club and the Milwaukee Bucks. Each will weigh in on the topic.
The subject of lotteries and legal sports betting will also be discussed on the first day. One of the topics that will be explored during the session is how lotteries can push to be part of the regulated market.
In another session, the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States will be providing attendees with an update on the state of legal sports betting in each jurisdiction.
Other topics that will be discussed on the first day include diversity in US sports betting, payments, sports sponsorships, tax rates, PA sports betting, and the myths surrounding the esports market.
The session to look out for on day 2 is a keynote address by former NJ Senator Raymond Lesniak. In his address, the Senator will share his thoughts on how best to tackle the challenges posed by the Wire Act.
After the address, the Senator will then join other panelists to discuss the reinterpretation of the Wire Act by the DOJ. The panel will be looking at the legitimate concerns of stakeholders after the revised opinion from the Office of the Legal Counsel and how the reinterpretation will affect the industry in the future.
Other issues to be addressed on day 2 will include:
