Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment-owned Parx Casino is the newest entrant in the New Jersey online gambling market.

Early this week, the Bensalem-based casino confirmed that it had extended its footprint outside the Keystone State with the launch of an online casino and sportsbook in NJ. The operator’s land-based partner in NJ is Ocean Casino Resort.

The casino began its NJ operations on Friday last week following a three-day test period as mandated by the Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE). Just like in Pennsylvania, Parx has partnered with both Kambi and GAN for its mobile offering in the Garden State.

In an official statement released this week, GAN CEO Dermot Smurfit lauded the move, saying that it will play a huge role in boosting the company’s revenue. He added that the presence of the Parx app in the Garden State would make the casino’s services more accessible to its NJ patrons who were forced to cross the border between the two states before.

The Parx mobile betting app joins 15 other online operators in the established NJ market. The book is powered by GAN with Kambi providing the sports betting software.

Following the Friday launch, Parx Online Sportsbook NJ is now available statewide and bettors can register accounts and place sports bets from any location within the state.

Just like in PA, the online wagering platform features a variety of professional and collegiate sports such as football, ice hockey, baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, tennis, cricket, boxing, and motorsports.

For every featured event, players will be treated to an array of betting opportunities including over/under, money lines, point spreads, prop bets, and teasers. In-play wagers and parlays are available as well.

The sportsbook services will be available round-the-clock, and bettors will be required to be at least 21 years old to use the platform.

Those who want to place wagers and manage their accounts remotely can download the Parx Sportsbook app to their mobile devices. The app is available for both Android-powered and iOS devices.

A look at Parx Online Casino in New Jersey

Parx Online Casino NJ is powered by GAN software.

The site features about 94 games. A majority of these games are slot titles from top-tier software providers like Net Entertainment and IGT.

Besides the slots, Parx Online has a small collection of about ten table and card games. These games include Jacks or Better, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and casino hold’em.

Although the games library is much bigger compared to the 57 titles available at Parx Online PA, it will take time for the operator to catch up with the stiff competition in the NJ market. The established online operators in the state offer hundreds of slot titles and multiple variations of table and video poker games.

About Parx Casino

The Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment-owned property is located in the Benslem Township of Pennsylvania.

The casino began its operations in the Keystone State with the opening of a racetrack in 1974. In 2009, Parx expanded its offering to include casino gaming on the property, and it is the largest casino in PA.

Following the legalization of sports betting in Pennsylvania last year, Greenwood Gaming announced that it would partner with Kambi to offer regulated wagering at Parx Casino. The operators’ long-time partner, GAN, was chosen to provide the account management system technology.

The Book at Parx Casino Bensalem opened its doors in January as the fourth retail wagering facility in the state. The launch was followed by the opening of two other brick-and-mortar sportsbooks at the casino’s off-track betting locations. The two facilities are the Oaks Race & Sportsbook in Oaks and the South Philadelphia Race & Sportsbook in South Philly.

Parx launched Pennsylvania’s first mobile betting app on May 28. The online casino went live six weeks later, launching on July 15. The New Jersey launch marks the operator’s first venture outside of Pennsylvania.
