Braggin’Rights Baseball

On March 29, 2022  in Sauget, Ilinois at CG Credit Union Ballpark, home of the Gateway Grizzlies will be Braggin’ Rights baseball which features the Mizzou Tigers and the Illinois Fighting Illini. This is the return of what was once an annual game but not played since 2017.

Missouri will be fighting for its first NCAA Tournament nod under head coach Steve Bieser. The have added even transfers and many returning player from the St. Louis area. Illinois was in the NCAA tournament in 2019 and have had several trips under longtime coach Dan Hartlieb.

Tickets went on sale January 25th and are $12 for field box which includes all you can eat and drink. Gateway Grizzlies season ticket holders have these included in their package.

Grizzlies general manager Steve Gomric had this to say about the Braggin’ Rights game:

 “The Grizzlies are thrilled to help bring the Illinois vs Mizzou game back,” The rivalry between these schools cuts deepest through the St. Louis community. GCS Credit Union Ballpark is the ideal spot for this game to be played and for fans to support their university.”

Gates open at 5pm and first pitch is scheduled for 6:06  pm CT. Missouri will be on the first base side and Illinois settles in the third base dugout.
