Cardinals Prospect Report continues with #24 on the list Alec Willis. Currently,at 18 years of age, he stnads 6’5″ and 220 pounds the right-handed pitcher is out of Jesuit High school in Colorado and and was drafted in the 7th round of the 2021 MLB draft.
Lots of his athleticism stems from his size and his velocity sits in the 90-95 mph range and ha he matures, that is expected to rise. His curve ball is listed in the average range and has good arm speed for a changeup that has some sink and fade action. His control appears to be good maintaining his velocity well, throwing his fastball with some life. He’ll flash a solid average curveball and does show feel for a changeup with decent arm speed and some sink and fade.

If he remains healthy, he has an ETA of 2025 for the major leagues and projects to be a mid to top of the rotation starter.
