College Baseball 2023 is sneaking up on us with the holidays as the warm weather institutions will be out in force when second semester gets here. It may be too early of have a Top 25 but here i am willing to try and take my lumps later.
College Baseball 2023- Countdown #23- East Carolina Pirates
The East Carolina Pirates have never been to the College World Series but have won four straight regionals and have advanced three times to the super regionals and will be the team to beat in the American Athletic Conference in 2023.
one from the 2022 squad is pitchers Zach Agnos and Bryson Worrel which hare hard to lose but returning for head coach Cliff Godwin is Jacob Cowart and Lane Hoover. Adding to the pitching staff is RHP is Tyler Bradt from VMI and freshman LH phenom Zachary Root. There won’t be a shortage of talented arms for the Pirates to call on. Look for another solid all-around season from ECU.
East Carolina finish last year with a 46-21 record and will again vie for top spot in the American Athletic Conference. The Pirates will open the season at Lewis Field on February 17-19 against George Washington University.
