Collegiate Baseball 2023
The Oregon Ducks baseball team will play 55 games in 2023 with 35 of them at home in PK Park including 23 against teams that played in last year’s NCAA Tournament.
They will open the season with a four games series on Feb. 17-19 in Eugene and then head to UC Santa Barbara for a road series, UCSB is the defending champions of the Big West Conference.
Head coach Mark Wasikowski has had success since coming to Eugene and looks to continue to have Top 25 teams for awhile in collegiate baseball. The Ducks have lost a lot of talent from last year but through recruiting and the transfer portal the team has been replenished.
Last season Issac Avon and RJ Gordon were thrust into big roles due to injuries and that will pay dividends in 2023. Newcomers will also play a big part of the anticipated success. RHP Cade Halemanu and RHP Josh Mollerus are ready to contribute along with a two outfielders from the SEC Owen Diodati and Isaiah Thomas.
