Hayden Dunhurst Early Career

Hayden Dunhurst attended and starred in athletics at Pearl River Central High School in Carriere,MS. He was the #1 ranked catcher in the nation coming out of high school. He won many accolades while in prep school including Mississippi Player of the Year, Top Prospect List at the 2018 Perfect Game National Showcase and the list goes on and on. He led his high school baseball team on a state championship. Hayden also played basketball.

Hayden Dunhurst College Level

He chose Ole Miss to play collegiate baseball. He is 5’11” and 220 lbs. He had a very good freshman season but it was cut short by the COVID pandemic. He was named to the Buster Posey Award Watch List.

Hs sophomore season is where he started 5 games and was named a Gold Glove Award winner. During the season he had many outstanding performances.  Hayden Dunhurst was selected to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team.

Hayden Dunhurst -The MLB Prospect

Hayden Dunhrst will have the best throwing arm for a catcher in the draft. He can whistle the ball to second base at speeds up to 90 mph. He has a cannon arm is the best in recent memory. He is an above average receiver and has the knack o blocking the balls in the dirt. He is an average hitter with average power. Many think as he mature and fills out more, he may e tapping into his raw power.
