Show ’21 to Debut on Xbox Live: MLB The Show ’21 is finally making its debut on Xbox Live. For so many years Xbox players had to play 2k baseball games until they were discontinued to get the closest experience. For that time span, Xbox users were left without a baseball game.

Many Xbox fans who are baseball fans either had to endure the pain of not playing whenever they wanted or bought a Playstation just to play The Show. There were some alternatives to the game like RBI Baseball and Super Mega Baseball. However, the graphics and the realism aspect couldn’t be compared to The Show.

The series was exclusively available to Playstation users as Sony had an exclusive deal with first-party studio like San Diego Studio. This will be the first game in the series to not be only exclusive on PlayStation, but it will also be available on Game Pass at launch.

Sony can’t be too pleased about the release as they will lose potential players to their rivals for the new release or was this all planned.

Microsoft and Sony have had a very fierce rivalry for decades. Games that were available to multiplatform have been produced and developed by independent studios.

The odd part about this relationship is Microsoft has been very lax for many of the games that started on their platform, while Playstation has been very stubborn about keeping the games that originated on their platform exclusive.

MLB The Show will be available on: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5.

The month of April has been amazing for Game Pass, and the addition of The Show will only make things a lot better for die-hard baseball fans. The Show will go down as it will be somewhat of a collaboration rather than a competition.

The debut of the game on Xbox Live can be seen as an odd move by many fans as well as the critics. It means that the franchise that was once only available on PlayStation is now technically free with Xbox Game Pass. It is still listed on Playstation as full price as many players have pre-ordered the game.

For many fans who are looking to make the jump to a next-gen console, decisions like this can help many players make a key decision when considering an Xbox Series X/S or a PlayStation 5.

This opens the door for future releases of the franchise and other games that the fans may be interested in. For example, Grand Theft Auto 5 is rumored that it could be added to the Xbox Game Pass this month.

Microsoft also has recently doubled down on backward compatibility and has added iconic classic games to Xbox Game Pass.

Players who play other Xbox can now experience the feeling of hitting a grand slam against an opponent online, building a franchise like Madden and NBA 2K. There will be other game modes that will interest a lot of new players like Diamond Dynasty.

The Show ‘21 will feature Fernando Tatis Jr. who recently signed a massive extension with the San Diego Padres. The cover has to be one of the coolest designs the franchise has done in a while.

Just like the Tatis signing, Xbox and The Show should have a successful partnership for many years to come.
