UFC champion Glover Teixeira looks to defend his Light Heavyweight title against Jiří Procházka

UFC 275 Details and Information

This Saturday, June 11th UFC 275 will be held in Singapore. This is the sixth pay-per-view event the UFC has held this year and only the second UFC event of 2022 outside of the United States. The event will take place in the evening with the early prelims starting at 6 pm EST and the Main Card starting at 10 pm EST.

The card is headlined by two title fights and a rematch of the greatest fight in the history of women’s MMA. The main event title fight is for the Men’s Light Heavyweight belt between Jiri Prochazka and current Champion Glover Teixeira. The Co-Main event is for the Women’s Flyweight title where defending champion Valentina Schevchenko will attempt to defend her belt for the seventh consecutive time.

Zhang Weili vs Joanna Jędrzejczyk

Zhang weili has been a dominant force in the flyweight division since joining the UFC. At one point she had the belt and defended it against Joanna in one of the greatest fights in UFC history. Since then she lost two title bouts to Rose Namajunas and is coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in her career.

Joanna was also a UFC title holder for a while. By 2017 Joanna had defended her Strawweight belt six times and was regarded as one of the best female mixed martial artists of all time. Currently, she is coming off of a loss and is 2-3 in her last five fights. Her losses have come against Weili, Valentina Schevchenko, and Rose Namajunas, all fighters who have held and defended UFC belts.

Both fighters are amazing and deserve a ton of respect. I think Joanna is going to edge out this victory in a very tough and gritty fight.

Pick: Joanna to win +140

Glover Teixeira vs Jiri Prochazka

On October 30th of last year, Glover Texeira became the oldest first-time UFC champ at the age of 42 when he defeated Jan Blachowicz via a rear-naked choke in the second round. Glover has a chance to defend that belt that he waited so long to claim this weekend against hot prospect Jiri Prochazka.

Prochazka has only two UFC fights but has won both of them by knockout. He has run up the rankings extremely quickly and is fighting for a belt in only his third UFC fight. Jiri is known for spectacular elbows and unorthodox striking. He is currently on a 13 fight win streak with 10 straight wins by KO or TKO.
Despite the excitement and skill of Jiri Prochazka, I expect Glover Texeira to win this fight. Glover is always underrated and not many people expect him to win this fight. He’s been fighting in the UFC since 2012 and has won six straight fights, five of them by the finish.

Pick: Glover Texeira to win +170
