This Saturday, June 11, 2022, Southeast Asia will host six of the best fighters the world has ever seen live at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. We’re starting the countdown to one of the most anticipated fights of 2022 UFC 275 will be like none before.
This event will also be the debut of the marketing partnership that has been launched with VeChain, so attendees and viewers will see the brand’s visibility throughout the matches.
With one of the best main cards in MMA history, UFC 275 will present two title belt fights as undisputed lightweight champion Glover Teixeira from Brazil takes on Jiri Prochazka from the Czech Republic.
Main Card
First time Glover Teixeira will be defending his belt and with similar striker fighting styles, he will have his hands full. Both fighters weighed in at 2:05 today and the atmosphere in the arena at weigh-in was electric.
UFC fans are in for a treat as they present this championship doubleheader on paper view, with co-headliner UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko taking on a powerful Brazilian boxer with a 19-1 record Taila Santos.
Valentina has defended her title several times and we will be in for a good one on Saturday night. We all remember UFC 248 which featured Adesanya vs. Romero, there will be a rematch from this main card.
A strawweight rematch of former champions as Zhang Welii takes on Joanna Jedrzejzyk, with the winner of this fight possibly having an opportunity at the title vs current Strawweight title holder shot Carla Esparza.
Predictions
Glover Teixeira is a skilled striker but at the age of 40, I believe he will be overwhelmed by the younger more athletic up-and-coming UFC fighter in Jiri Prochazka. Prochazka has won 28 fights and 25 of those are by knockout.
With only two wins in the UFC, he’s built most of his resume in other organizations as well as Japan. The challenger Prochazka is currently favored to win.
I believe if Glover can’t take Prochazka to the ground and win by submission he will be overwhelmed by Prochazka’s striking ability and power. I’m excited to watch this fight because I wonder what factor Glover’s experience as a veteran in the sport.
The co-main event featuring Valentina Shevchenko against Taila Santos will be good. Shevchenko will be defending her title against powerful fighter Talia Santos. I believe Tallia’s inexperience here will be her downfall.
The rematch from UFC 248 is one match I am very interested in watching. The exciting fight from 2020 ended with a victory for Weili Zhang. A victory that ended on decision and made it to Round 5. Both fighters are previous champs and know the taste of victory.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk Is ready for the rematch and I believe will be the victor of this fight. Overall UFC 275 will go down in history as one of the best sporting events in history.
