UFC 277 at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas Texas was one of the most electrifying UFC events in history. The main card featured Juliana Pena versus Amanda Nunez The rematch that all fans have been waiting for after a historic upset by Juliana Pena which was one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport.
On the co-main card at the UFC 277 event, Brandon Moreno fought Kai Kara-France for the interim flyweight championship.
Juliana Pena secured a round two submission on legend Amanda Nunes in their first fight back at UFC 269. Pena and Nunes provided the fans with a historic fight that left both fighters bloody and bruised. Juliana Pena told fans that she would tire out the older Amanda Nunes and submit her after a flurry of punches, and did exactly that in their first fight.
Their first fight back in UFC 269 was one of the best fights in women’s bantamweight history. It was no telling what to expect in their rematch at UFC 277.
UFC 277 Women’s Bantamweight
This was a highly anticipated rematch as UFC bantamweight champion Julian Pena was looking to defend her title for the first time in a rematch against Amanda Nunez. Nunez 21 -5 looks to gain redemption against Pena and reclaim the bantamweight championship. Amanda Nunez is one of the best and most well-rounded fighters in the UFC and her technical fighting style has proven to be successful.
Proclaiming to be one of the greatest woman’s bantamweight fighters. UFC bantamweight champion Juliana Pena is 12-4 planning to finish off the legend in Nunes for the second time. Pena is an excellent striker and is not to be underestimated on the ground as she submitted Nunez by submission in their first fight.
Nunes started the first round strong leading huge shots to Pena causing significant damage and setting the tone for the rest of the fight. Nunez was able to follow this up in the second round landing a huge strike and knocking down Pena. Despite significant damage to Pena, she was able to consistently get back to her feet and continue her fight.
By round, Pena was nearly able to secure a submission on Nunez but was unsuccessful. The Brazilian MMA artist Nunez was able to learn vicious elbows to Pena and eventually was able to secure a victory by decision and become bantamweight champion.
Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara France featured on the main card at UFC 277 for an interim flyweight champion title fight. Brandon Moreno was able to capture the intern flyweight championship with a TKO win over Kara-France. Both fighters came out swinging landing big blows on one another.
It wasn’t until late and round three that Brandon Moreno was able to land huge kicks to the body of Car France leaving him stoned allowing Brandon to finish the fight with huge ground and pound blows. The athletes in the flyweight division are usually explosive and athletic and provide great entertainment for fans as I am always satisfied after viewing these highly competitive fights.
