This fight is a fight that sets up the winner for a future title fight. Rob Font is ranked as #3 bantamweight in his division and most recently fought in UFC17 where he most recently snagged a first round TKO of former champion Marlon Moraes. Currently, Font is the #3 bantamweight contender and comes in on a three fight in streak and four of last five.

Garbrandt was a rising star. He grabbed the championship when he defeated Dominick Cruz ad UFC Vegas 17. In his defense of the championship he  lost the belt to T,J. Dillashaw and lost at UFC 235 to Pedro Munhoz. He recently returned to his winning form by a 2nd round KO of Raphael Assuncao.
This fight, UFC Vegas 27, is schedule to take place on Saturday, May 22, 2021, live from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Font has a six inch reach advantage while both fighter are the same height.  Font outpaces Garbrandt in strikes landed per minute and has a slight edge in striking accuracy. Garbrandt, however, does hold the slightly better striking defense numbers.

Font has more takedowns per fight than Garbrant but Font has a weak takedown accuracy percentage bu Garbrandt has never been taken down in his UFC career.

Garbrandt has taken alot of damage in his fights but remains  able to fight on. This fight is likely to be a banger as both men in UFC 27 will land plenty of damage to the other. Font is moe patient and that helps his cause as Garbrandt is more likely to make a mistake and open himself up to barrage he can’t escape, Font may get the biggest in of his career.
