Los Angeles Clippers at Brooklyn Nets Betting Prediction: Let’s see who’s gonna bring home the cash in this possible Finals preview.

The NBA regular season might seem long for the casual fan, but tonight fans have the opportunity to watch what could very well end up being the 2021 NBA finals matchup. Tuesday the Clippers travel to Brooklyn for a star-studded regular-season matchup between two of the top teams in the NBA.

Blockbuster in Brooklyn

Recently the Brooklyn Nets soared near the top of championship favorites after a blockbuster trade landing James Harden from the Houston Rockets in exchange for multiple first-round picks Caris LeVert, Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince, and Rodions Kurucs.

With the addition of Harden the Nets now have three of the best players at their respective positions piecing Harden alongside All-Star’s Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant and are now second behind the Lakers at +400 to win the NBA championship.

Best in the West

At 16-5 not only are the Los Angeles Clippers the top team in the Western Conference they have the best record in the NBA leading the Utah Jazz by half a game and the Lakers by one game. The Clippers entered the season as a top contender in Western Conference and currently stand at +475 to win the Finals.

Production out of small forward Kawhi Leonard is consistent and you know what you are going to get game in and game out. Leonard leads the Clippers with 25.9 ppg.

The Clips other star had a rough postseason last year, but vowed to play better and contribute in a big way. Paul George has answered the bell so far this season playing as counterpart to Leonard scoring 23.6 ppg.

In free agency the Clippers allowed forward Montez Harrell to walk and in turn signed Raptors forward Serge Ibaka to a two year $18 million deal. Ibaka has proved to be a valuable signing adding 12.4 ppg and leading the Clippers in rebounds with 6.7 per game and blocks with 1.2 per game.

Clippers Last Game

Los Angeles is coming off a big 129-115 win over the New York Knicks on the road and are on a three-game winning streak. To put it simply, the Clippers are a way better team than the young New York Knicks who had no answer for Kawhi Leonard who led all scorers with 28 points.

Nets Last Game

Brooklyn had great success Sunday offensively against the Washington Wizards. Unfortunately the Wizards had even more success behind Russell Westbrook who led all scorers with 41 points and Bradley Beal who added 37. The Nets entered the fourth Quarter with a seven point lead but were unable to hold it, losing 146-149.

When looking at the Nets on paper you might think the only team that could stop them is an All-Star team. Luckily for the Clippers, they matchup well with many of the Nets stars having a team with very good defenders. Paul George will be guarding James Harden, Kawhi Leonard will be guarding Kevin Durant and when healthy expect Patrick Beverly to be hounding Kyrie Irving for four quarters.

Unfortunately for the Clippers Beverly will not be playing as he is ruled out with a knee injury. As long as the Nets are able to battle on the boards and slow down the Clippers the absence of Beverly will be too much for L.A. to overcome.

Los Angeles Clippers at Brooklyn Nets Betting Prediction and Lines

Early Odds

Clippers ( +1) (-108) Moneyline (-102)

Nets -1 (-112) Moneyline (-116)

Prediction: Nets moneyline.

No doubt these are two of the top teams in the NBA. I expect a very good game with plenty of offense. If Patrick Beverly was playing I feel that the outcome has more of a chance of being different, but without Beverly guarding Kyrie Irving I think the Nets will have the edge. Nets moneyline.
