The Milwaukee Bucks are going to face the Houston Rockets on Sunday. They will be looking to improve their seeding in the Western Conference.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to finish with the first-place seed in the Eastern Conference for two years in a row. They are currently leading the table with a record of 54-12.

Right before the hiatus, the Giannis Antetokounmpo missed four games due to the birth of his son and a scary knee sprain. Now healthy, he will continue to be the most dominant force in both ends of the floor.

The MVP candidate is averaging 29.6 points and 13.7 rebounds per game. He is looking to join Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon as the only players to win MVP and Defensive Players of the Year in the same season.

He and Brook Lopez have been phenomenal in defense as they protected the rim at all costs. Antetokounmpo also owned on offense, shooting 72.9% on 10.4 attempts per game inside the paint. His freakishly athletic body and skills changed the team to a playoff candidate to championship contender.

Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe have been playing as the secondary stars of the team. However, Eric Bledsoe is not yet ready to return due to the coronavirus infection.

It will somehow affect the Buck’s performance during the remaining regular season, but he is expected to return before the playoffs. Middleton has been putting up decent numbers for the Bucks and made the all-star team two years in a row.

The Bucks beat the Boston Celtics on July 31 in their first game of the NBA restart with Antetokounmpo scoring 36 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.

Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets has had ups and downs this season. They did not start so well after acquiring James Harden’s former teammate and friend Russell Westbrook.

They managed to build chemistry and win games to clinch a playoff spot. The Westbrook and Harden duo has shown exceptional offensive skills.

Their strategy of small ball seemed to be working out before the hiatus. They traded Clint Capela to the Atlanta Hawks and brought in Robert Covington and a few more veteran wings to strengthen their center-less rotation.

Although they had a six-game winning streak, they also had a four-game losing streak as they struggled following the flaws of relying almost entirely on 3-point shooting.

Their biggest weakness is height. PJ Tucker is playing at the big man position, and he is only 6-foot-5. He has also been battling a shoulder injury when the season was suspended. Hence, it will be hard for them to go against teams like the Los Angeles Lakers or Utah Jazz, who have a strong frontcourt.

Predictions

The Milwaukee Bucks will win their second game of the NBA restart against the Houston Rockets. They will have a hard time going against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez, who has the advantage in length and height.

Westbrook and Harden have great offensive talents, but the Bucks are strong on defense with the big men protecting the rim and guards, George Hill and Wesley Matthews guarding the perimeter.
