As the NBA All Star Game approaches, let’s take a look at the NBA Championship Odds.
Golden State Warriors -150
The Golden State Warriors are still the large favorites. The Warriors are listed at -150 odds. The Warriors seem to be running away with the Western Conference, despite not passing their win total from a season ago.
Cleveland Cavs +275
The Cleveland Cavaliers are second on the list. Cleveland, who is the defending NBA Champions have sputtered at times this season, but are still on pace to win nearly 60 games. Cleveland is listed at +275 odds to win the NBA title.
San Antonio Spurs +750
Third on the list is the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs have sat several of their top guys throughout the season, so they are not finding long winning streaks. The Spurs have the experience that makes them dangerous. San Antonio is listed +750 odds to win the NBA title.
Houston Rockets +1600
The Houston Rockets are fourth on the list, and the third team out of the Western Conference. Houston has a great scorer with James Harden, but can they play enough defense? The Rockets are +1600.
Boston Celtics +2000
Fifth on the list is the upstart Boston Celtics. Isaiah Thomas is making a case for the Most Valuable Player in the league. Thomas and the Celtics are listed at +2000, but this is second best in the Eastern Conference.
Los Angeles Clippers +2500
The Los Angeles Clippers are next. The Clippers think if they can get Chris Paul and Blake Griffin healthy at the same time, they have a shot. Los Angeles is +2500 to win the NBA title in 2017.
Rounding out the Top 10 NBA Championship Odds
- Toronto Raptors +2500
- Washington Wizards +3300
- Utah Jazz +4000
- Atlanta Hawks +10000
If we are making a pick, we are going to throw some money on two of the outsiders looking in. Sure, the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers are likely going to get to the big series, but throwing some money on the San Antonio Spurs at +750 (bet $100, win $750), along with the Boston Celtics +2000 (bet $100, win $2000) or Washington Wizards at +3300 (bet $100, win $3,300) seem like decent choices.
