It’s a big seven-game slate for Friday’s NBA schedule tipping off a little later at 8:00 pm EST. The Cleveland Cavaliers at the New Orleans Pelicans, the Philadelphia 76ers at the Washington Wizards, the Denver Nuggets at the Memphis Grizzlies, the Orlando Magic at the San Antonio Spurs, the Miami Heat at the Chicago Bulls, the Houston Rockets at the Utah Jazz, and to finish off the night the Indiana Pacers at the Los Angeles Lakers. These are my NBA FANDUEL DFS picks for this Friday, March 12th.
DFS Picks by Position
POINT GUARD
STAR
Dejounte Murray $8,200
Demar DeRozan will be out tonight against the Orlando Magic which will give Murray a minute boost. Also, LaMarcus Aldridge got waived last night by the team. Murray had double figures in points for the seventh game in a row and he ended just one assist shy of putting up the second double-double during the stretch.
He is arguably the team’s best player contributing on both ends of the floor at a high level.
VALUE
Lonzo Ball $6,000/ Raul Neto $4,000
New Orleans is a fast-paced team and it should be a good matchup for Ball with Darius Garland potentially sitting out, Collin Sexton will have to carry the load even with Kevin Love potentially coming back.
Hasn’t been getting a ton of minutes but is a good play if Bradley Beal is out against the Philadelphia 76ers.
SHOOTING GUARD
STAR
Zach Lavine $9,400
Nothing really stands out in the shooting guard position in this slate. The Miami Heat are 29th in OPRK.
VALUE
Seth Curry $5,000
Keeping Curry here once again after a solid night against the Chicago Bulls. He should get more minutes than his teammate Shake Milton. He had 12 points, 7 assists to go along with 2 steals in just 25 minutes of play.
SMALL FORWARD
STAR
Brandon Ingram 7,700
Ingram should bounce back from his underwhelming performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He had 13 points, 4 assists, and three rebounds. This should be a good bounce-back game against a defenseless Cleveland Cavaliers team.
VALUE
Terrence Ross $5,700/Will Barton $5,600
If Evan Fournier is out against the Spurs, Ross is a good play as he got 40.5 FP and 33.3 FP before missing the game against the Miami Heat.
In his last three games, Barton has played 36,34, and 30 minutes. Barton is a good value play and cheap for the number of minutes he has played. Paul Millsap could be back in the lineup but it’s safe to assume that he will be on a minutes restriction.
POWER FORWARD
STAR
Tobias Harris $7,800
Ben Simmons will continue to be out due to the COVID Health Protocol which leaves a ton of minutes for players like Harris and Embiid. Harris scored 24 points but disappointed DFS as he only played 25 minutes because the game was a blowout.
VALUE
Rudy Gay $5,000/ Jae’Sean Tate $4,700
With LMA no longer on the team, the usage rate should go up for Rudy Gay.
This is very good value for grabbing a nice value play. The Houston Rockets will be parting ways with PJ Tucker before the trade deadline.
Daniel House is a game-time decision and David Nwaba is out for tonight’s game. There are a lot of players out, which will leave good value for this game.
CENTER
STAR
Rudy Gobert $8,000
With the Houston Rockets being short-handed Gobert should have an easy night against the Houston Rockets.
VALUE
Justin Patton $5,000/ Kelly Olynyk $4,500
Patton will get a good number of minutes with Tucker not returning to the team.
With Bam Adebayo being out last night, Olynyk went out and did the dirty work against the Orlando Magic putting up 20 points and seven rebounds. As long as he stays out of foul trouble, he would be great value at this price tag. The Chicago Bulls are very high-paced.
