The NBA Playoffs First Round is slowly concluding and has been unbelievable to watch. Almost every game has been entertaining from start to end. This year has been a year of underdogs especially in the Eastern Conference!

Let’s break down some of the biggest shocks from the First Round of the NBA Playoffs so far.

Bucks Lose To Heat

The 1 seed Bucks have lost their series to the 8 seed Miami Heat. This was a shocking and huge win for Miami who played some unbelievable Basketball. Miami was led by Jimmy Butler who put up historic statistics to get his team a series win.

In Game 4, Butler put up 56 points which made the list of all-time individual NBA Playoff points. His clutch continues to grow as he is one of the most well-rounded superstars in the NBA.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was sidelined with an injury for a good amount of this series. He missed most of Game 1, and missed games 2 and 3. His teammates were not able to close this gap and really struggled without his presence.

This historic loss eliminates one of the top favorites to win it all and leaves things pretty open in the East. The Miami Heat will go on to face the New York Knicks in what should be a beyond electric series.

Knicks Close Out The Cavs

Another shocking Eastern Conference matchup saw the New York Knicks upset the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Knicks have won their first Playoff series since 2013! This was a significant win for this team that went up against a very talented Cavs team.

The Cavs were disappointing to say the least. They were very inconsistent on both ends of the ball and the Knicks simply outplayed them. Donovan Mitchell let down many in this series and it’s even more significant for the Knicks as talks were so close for Mitchell to be traded to the Knicks last Summer.

Jalen Brunson has shined as a New York superstar. He led the way for the Knicks to dominate this series 4-1! Julius Randle did not have the best performance in this series. His shooting was inconsistent and he did not live up to his superstar level.

The Knicks and Heat series will be a classic duel! Both teams have met each other a few times in the NBA Playoffs to put some memorable games together.

Warriors NBA Playoffs Comeback

After going down 2-0 to the 3rd Seed Sacramento Kings, the Warriors have bounced back to take a 3-2 lead in the series. Steph Curry has been leading the way to bring his team back to glory and has been on a tear!

Golden State’s overall roster is working really well at the moment to control the offense. An injury to Kings All-star guard De’Aaron Fox has cost the Kings. The Warriors should have no issues to close this series out when Game 6 returns to San Francisco.
