Last 4 Season Win Totals:

  • 2015-5

  • 2017-9

The Offense

Joe Flacco is 33 years old but he turned in a very good season in 2017 as he threw for 3,141 yards and 18 touchdowns along with 13 interceptions. The weak thing is the team ranked 29th in passing attack last year. It appears Flacco is the placeholder for quarterback Lamar Jackson that was drafted 32nd overall in the NFL draft.

Running Backs:

alex Collins gave the Ravens more than they expected as the former practice squad player ran for 973 yards on 212 carries with six touchdowns. Buck Allen will be his primary backup and Kenneth Dixon will return from knee injury.

Flacco needs more weapons which prompted Baltimore to sign Michael Crabtree and John Brown as free agents. From there they turned to wide receiver Willie Snead IV and garnered his services from the Saints. Hayden Hurst and Mark Andrews were selected in the draft as tight ends.

Offensive Linemen:

This may be the best offensive line in football as Nico Siragusa, Alex Lewis, and Marshal Vanda can come back strong from injuries..= Orlando Brown, Jr. was selected in the third round out of Oklahoma to add some beef to the line.

The Defense

Defensive Linemen:

One of the top run stoppers in the league is Ravens defensive tackle, Brandon Williams. He was injured for a few games and the team had trouble handling the spot without him. Zach Sieler was added through the draft and Michael Pierce, Willie Henry, and Chris Wormley are all capable of being impactful.

Young players are needed on this unit as Terrell Suggs, 35-years-old was the team leader with 11 sacks last year. Tyus Bowser and Tim Williams are hopeful to be those guys. CJ Mosley will return this year which is a free agent season for him. He has been a Pro Bowler four times.

Free agents Tony Jefferson and Brandon Carr are key signings for the secondary. A cornerback from Alabama, Marion Humphrey was selected 16th in the draft and will contribute right away. The Ravens are anticipating Tavon Young will be healthy for a return at the start of the year. Also, fourth-round pick Anthony Averett from Alabama will be pushing for playing time.

Special Teams

Kicker Justin Tucker is at the top of his game and is the most productive player Baltimore has. Punter Sam Koch is back after averaging 44.8 yards per kick. Morgan Cox is the long snapper and the kick returner job will get some fierce competition from several.
