DraftKings has the Bears favored by 3.5 points. The Dolphins are at +155 on the moneyline. Check out our Bears vs Dolphins Pick before heading to the sportsbook!

The Chicago Bears and the Miami Dolphins head into the 2021 NFL preseason with great optimism. Both teams feel they have found their franchise quarterbacks in Justin Fields and Tua Tagavailoa.

The Dolphins took the offseason to surround Tua with more talent at the skill positions, and were also able to bolster an already great defense. Now that Tua has had more time for his hip to heal, his mobility and range should improve as well.

Chicago drafted Ohio State QB Justin Fields with the 11th pick of this year’s draft. Mitchell Trubisky wasn’t getting the job done so he finds himself in a Bills uniform this season, while the Bears plan to start newly acquired veteran Andy Dalton with Fields coming off the bench.

We will find out just how much talent these two teams have as they are set to square off on Saturday at 1 EST to open up their preseasons. The preseason bout will be televised on NFL Network.

Bears Preview: Finding Answers at Quarterback

Chicago heads into the season with multiple options at quarterback. They could start the young, mobile Justin Fields and see if they were able to draft their franchise QB, or they could go with Andy Dalton.

Dalton is obviously the safe bet here. He’s going to give you solid play at the position and while he may not be the hero of many games, he won’t lose many either. Unfortunately for Bears fans who would like to get a look at Fields early and often, Dalton will likely start the season as the starter.

Giants vs Jets Pick and Preview – Preseason Week 1

Fortunately for Bears fans, that also likely means a little extended playing time during the preseason. While trying not to get their future QB injured, he will likely receive at least a few drives against the Dolphins on Saturday. Bears fans and NFL fans alike would like to see what this talented young man can bring to the this level.

This team finished 8-8 and second place in the NFC North last season. They were only able to keep it semi-close in the North because of their defense.

While the D wasn’t as “elite” as pundits thought it would be heading into the 2020 season. They still managed to rank in the top half of the league in basically every statistical category.

Dolphins Preview: Surrounding Tua with Weapons

It seems that Bears draftee Justin Fields may be receiving the same treatment that Tua Tagavailoa received from Miami a year ago. After starting the 1st seven games of the 2020 season, Ryan Fitzpatrick was benched in favor of Tua.

Tagavailoa was coming off major hip surgery last season, but the Dolphins still elected to draft him with the 5th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. After weeks of sitting, head coach Brian Flores felt it was time to unleash Tua on the NFL.

Bills vs Lions Pick & Betting Preview – Preseason Week 1

He didn’t exactly blow anyone away with his play a season ago, but he wasn’t a disappointment either. It didn’t help that Miami had several ineffective skill players surrounding Tua. There were far too many drops last season.

Dolphins fans nationwide urged the team to go out and get more offensive weapons last season, and that is exactly what they did in the offseason. This season, Tua will be targeting former Alabama teammate Jaylen Waddle, Will Fuller V, Devante Parker, and Mike Gesicki amongst others.

If Tua can take the next step with his new weapons, paired with a defense that led the NFL in turnovers and interceptions, this team could be dangerous.

DraftKings has Miami’s regular season win total set at 9.5. With over 9.5 wins drawing +110 odds, we like their chances of making it to at least 10 this season.

Bears vs Dolphins Pick

The betting lines are already out for Saturday’s matchup, and DraftKings sportsbook has the Bears favored by 3.5 points (-105) at Soldier Field. The game total is set at 36 if you’re an over/under bettor, and the Dolphins can be had at +155 on the moneyline. Fairly attractive odds for a preseason game.

Miami is all around a much better and deeper team than Chicago. The Bears need to show us something before we are able to place any bets their way, plus we really like those Dolphins moneyline odds, so that’s where we are going.
