• Are the Steelers playoff contenders?
  • Are the Bears out of the postseason picture?

In the ninth week of NFL season, the Chicago Bears (3-5) travel to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3) at Heinz Field, with kickoff scheduled for Monday night at 8:15 pm EST.

The Bears are looking to bounce back from a three-game losing streak; last week they lost to the San Francisco 49ers 33-22. The Steelers, on the other hand, are entering this game from the opposite standpoint. On Monday, they will look to extend their three-game winning streak to four. They defeated the Cleveland Browns 15-10 last week.

Bears Preview: Struggling Too Much

The Bears are not in a good position going into this game. They are currently third in the NFC North with a 3-5 record. They’ve lost three games in a row, and their season is nearly irredeemable.

Chicago has been struggling a lot this season, but their offense improved a little bit against the San Francisco 49ers last week, with Justin Fields showing some signs of life. However, their defense was ultimately their downfall. I honestly don’t see the Bears winning this game, but I think they have what it takes to keep it competitive.

Steelers Preview: Improving More and More

The Steelers have certainly made a comeback after a slow start to the season. After starting 1-3, they’ve managed to rally and win three straight games to earn a 4-3 record. Now, this Pittsburgh team has a new look at their playoff chances and newfound hope and confidence in themselves.

The Steelers’ defense performed very well in last week’s game against the Browns. As a whole, the team has immensely improved over these past few weeks. They’ve suddenly worked their way back into contention for a Wild Card playoff spot, and if they want to clinch that, every win matters.

I certainly think the Steelers will win this Week 9 game against the Bears, as their confidence, skill, and morale is at a season-high.

Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This Football Game

DraftKings Sportsbook has the Pittsburgh Steelers as six-point favorites for this game and -250 Moneyline favorites. The total is set for 39 points, with the over/under at -110.

Both teams’ biggest assets are their defenses, so I would bet the under. Both teams have been struggling a little bit offensively this season, so maybe it won’t be a ridiculously high-scoring game.

The spread is set at six points for this game. I fully expect the Steelers to both win this game and cover the spread. They have been improving a lot as of late, and the Bears have been on a steady decline.
