- Battle of 5-4 squads
- Can the Raiders snap a 2-game losing streak
- Can Joe Burrow feast on the Raiders secondary
Coming into this one, the turmoil-filled Raiders squad can’t be feeling too hot about themselves. After recently losing their starting head coach and star wideout to off the field issues, the Raiders just haven’t looked the same.
As for the Bengals are coming off a well-needed bye week after dropping two straight to the Jets and Browns. Joe Burrow is still that guy, and Ja’Marr Chase is still around. The sky is the limit for this Bengals team. With Joe Mixon getting healthy again, they just need their defense to step up.

The secret is out. The Bengals like to air it out, big time. Joe Burrow this season has thrown for 20 touchdowns, 277.4 YPG, and ranks first in the NFL with 12.8 YPC. Now there is a catch. These numbers are so large likely due to the fact he’s a little bit careless with the football. The second-year signal-caller has 11 interceptions (most in the NFL).
Exploiting the Raiders through the air is something this young squad is going to try and do. Although the black and silver allowed over 400 yards and five touchdowns to Mahomes last week, their secondary has had a relatively good season, ranking 5th in opponents yards per attempt and 12th in opponents yards per game. It will be interesting to see what the Bengals scheme up for this week.
Raider Preview: Must stop Joe Mixon
The Raiders have had a tough time this season when it comes to stopping opposing teams running backs. So far on the campaign, they have allowed 4.5 YPC (t23rd) and 129.1 YPG (27th), and this week stopping Mixon won’t make it much easier.
Mixon has seven touchdowns and 4.9 YPC in three of his last four weeks, and when he goes, so does the Bengals offense.
On the offensive side of the ball, Derek Carr has been solid all season and has really been one of the only lone bright spots on this team as of late. In week 10 against the Chiefs, he was able to throw for 261 yards, two touchdowns, and a 99.8 rating. His defense just couldn’t get him a stop.
Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This NFL Game
This is the closes game of the week, and Vegas is mirroring that thought. With the lowest point spread of any matchup, this game essentially turns into a Pick-em.
In my opinion, the Raiders just have too much adversity to overcome, and I believe they will fizzle out down the stretch of this season. The Bengals are young, and I believe Burrow has his best football in front of him. Bengals at -1 and the Over of 50.0 are where I would hedge my bets.
