- Broncos vs Jaguars Pick & Preview and Football Odds for Week 2
- Was Trevor Lawrence worth the first overall pick?
- Teddy Bridgewater coming off a phenomenal game
- Jaguars coming off a slow Week 1 game
As the first week of the National Football League comes to a conclusion, teams look to review Week 2 game footage, improve, and get ready for the following week. On Sunday, at 1 PM ET, the Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Denver Broncos for an exciting Week 2 matchup in TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Denver Broncos are coming off an exhilarating Week 1 victory against the New York Giants and hope to keep the hot streak going. On the other hand, the Jaguars are coming off a disappointing loss against the Houston Texans. Hopefully, they can turn it around to make both their’s and Denver’s record 1-1.

Broncos vs. Jaguars Pick & Preview: Spread
Though both teams will come out guns blazing in hopes to win their first game of the regular season, I believe the Broncos are deservingly favored in this game. Though the point spread is a hefty -6, the Broncos have what it takes on the defensive and offensive side to pull it off. Teddy Bridgewater played an amazing game on very efficient numbers and he should be able to produce again versus the subpar Jacksonville defense.
Free Pick & Preview: DEN -6 (-115)
Broncos vs Jags Pick & Preview: MoneyLine
Last weekend, the Broncos put up a very impressive showing against the New York Giants. Teddy Bridgewater threw for 264 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions on a magnificent 78% completion rate. Not only was the quarterback play impressive but the running backs also played a significant role in the victory.
Melvin Gordon III ran for 101 yards and a touchdown and then Javonte Williams added 14 carries for 45 yards. The Broncos played a great game and the defense also played a significant role too. Though last game the Broncos had an upsetting injury in Jerry Jeudy (high ankle sprain), receivers Courtland Sutton, KJ Hamler, and Tim Patrick look to carry his lost load. Hopefully, though he should be back in 4 weeks.
On the other hand, the Jacksonville Jaguars had a disappointing loss against the very weak Houston Texans. Their quarterback Trevor Lawrence also played poorly as he threw for 332 yards, 3 touchdowns, but a whopping 3 interceptions on a very low 55% completion rate. The Jaguars defense also allowed 37 points to the Houston Texans who did not even have their starting quarterback Deshaun Watson.
The Jaguars must turn around their poor quarterback play and poor defensive showings if they want to even come close to covering the spread or beating the Broncos. But I predict that the Jaguars will play poorly again and they will lose by more than 6 to the Broncos especially since the Broncos have such a strong defense.
Free Pick & Preview: Broncos -6
Broncos vs Jaguars Prediction: Total
The total for this matchup is 45.0 points. Last game between the Broncos and Giants, the total was 40 points and the game between the Jaguars and Texans was 58 points. I believe the strong Broncos secondary in combination with the inexperienced Jaguars offense will not reach that 45.0 point mark
Trevor Lawrence will again most likely throw multiple interceptions which will inhibit them from ever driving down the field and scoring. Therefore, I would bet the under for this game.
Free Pick & Preview: 45.0 Under -110
