- Broncos have to get back on track
- Odds stacked against the raiders based on issues surrounding the team
- Division matchups are always close
This is a very enticing game for many reasons. On one side, you have a Broncos team who started off the season 3-0, surprising everyone with new signal-caller Teddy Bridgewater.
On the other side, you have a Raiders team that has been inconsistent the whole season and is now without its head coach Jon Gruden—trying to claw its way back into the picture in the AFC West with the cards stacked mightly against them.

Broncos Preview: Time to Prove the Critics Wrong
This is a massive game for this Broncos squad for a couple of reasons, being this is a game they should be able to win considering the Raiders are in chaos and entering the game with an interim head coach that will make his debut. Also, it’s time for them to prove to everyone that the 3-0 start wasn’t a fluke and that this team can compete for a shot at the playoffs.
Teddy Bridgewater kept his team in the game last week, which is all you can ask for, really. He threw for 288 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception, earning him a 92.9 QBR. One thing that he can improve on and will have to is his 3rd down conversion rate. Bridgewater has led this broncos team to a 28.6% conversion rate making them one of the worst teams in that aspect. It doesn’t help that he has been sacked seven times in the last two weeks.
One area where the Broncos will have a massive advantage is on pass defense. This season the mile-high club has allowed a passer rating of 75.8 (3rd) and 6.7 YPA (5th). That boats well for them in this matchup, considering the Raider’s ability to make plays through the air.
Raiders Preview: How Will They Respond?
This Raiders team, at its core, is very good. They have solid cornerstones in Derek Carr snd Daren Waller and nice supporting pieces like Josh Jacobs, Hunter Renfroe, and Maxx Crosby on defense.
The only thing in question is leadership, and at this point, they don’t have any, so this will be a big week to see what this team is made of.
Jacobs and Kenyan Drake are going to be very important for the black and silver this week. Considering the ability of this bronco secondary to open up passing lanes, they will have to establish some sort of run game. Last week jacobs was held to 48 yards on 15 carries. They are going to need more production than that.
Another key to look out for is if Carr can have a bounceback week. Last week he only threw for 206 yards and did not see the endzone once. He is going to have to score more than last week, considering this Broncos offense is far more superior to the Bears one they played last week.
Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This NFL Game
The Broncos seem like the safe pick in this matchup. Coming into this game, they will be hungry for a win in front of their home fans and prove that they are legit. Although it would seem like the Raiders have more to play for in this one, I think it will take more than one game to get comfortable in its new surroundings.
ML Broncos is a good pick, but the point spread is excellent value also. 3.5 points for a team at home with a ton to lose are odds that fall in favor of the better.
