• Have the Lions hit rock bottom?
  • Are the Browns still a contender for the AFC North championship?
  • Baker Mayfield out, Nick Chubb in?

In the 11th week of the NFL regular season, the Cleveland Browns (5-5) host the Detroit Lions (0-8-1) at FirstEnergy Stadium, with kickoff set for Sunday at 1pm EST.

The Browns are entering this matchup off the heels of a disappointing 45-7 loss to the New England Patriots, so they hope to bounce back this week. The Lions, on the other hand, just got their first…not-loss of the season, tying 16-16 with the Pittsburgh Steelers last week.

Browns Preview: Can They Bounce Back After An Ugly Loss to New England?

The Browns are looking to bounce back this week after losing terribly to the New England Patriots, led by Bill Belichick and Mac Jones. This was a painful loss all-around, and it was also a costly one.

With a record of 5-5, the Browns are currently dead last in the AFC North, a division in which there is a close race for first place. The Baltimore Ravens hold the coveted top spot as of Week 10, with a 6-3 record. The Pittsburgh Steelers are second, with a Week 10 tie giving them a strange 5-3-1 record. The Cincinnati Bengals are in third place, with a 5-4 record.

If the Browns want to keep their playoff hopes alive, they’re going to have to pull it together, rally, and win this next game. Every single win, every single game counts. This is a crucial game for the Browns as they look to upseat the Ravens for control of the AFC North.

Even though the Browns looked less than amazing in Week 10 against the New England Patriots, they should be able to bounce back and snag an easy win against (arguably) the worst team in the NFL.

There’s no denying that the Browns played badly last week. Baker Mayfield and the offense were unable to get any momentum going, scoring a mere 16 points. Though it’s hard to believe, their defense performed even worse than that.

Cleveland has been stumbling a bit after a good start to the season. They have been struggling with a lot of injuries, especially on offense (most notably Baker Mayfield and Nick Chubb.) Mayfield sustained a knee injury at it is uncertain as to whether he will be able to play this week. Nick Chubb, after not playing against the Patriots, is likely to start.

Even though the Browns were disappointing last week, I fully expect them to bounce back with a comfortable win against the Detroit Lions. At the end of the day, there’s just no way the Lions will be able to beat this Browns team, even if they aren’t at their very best.

Lions Preview: The Worst Team in the NFL

There’s honestly not much I can say about this Lions team that hasn’t already been said multiple times. Let’s not sugarcoat it: they’re the worst team in the NFL (at least record-wise.)

It’s sad that a tie was celebrated in Detroit. Last week, they tied the Steelers 16-16 in a sloppy game that was, to be quite frank, painful to watch. Even though they didn’t lost, the Lions are still the only team in the league without a win.

I really don’t have much else to say. The Lions are just a bad team, there’s not much else to it. With a record of 0-8-1, there’s nothing to do but try not get blown out every week by a different team. Though the Browns have their issues, I certainly don’t think that the Lions have anything going for them this week. There’s no version of this story that the Lions pull off a win in Week 11.

Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This Football Game

DraftKings Sportsbook has the Cleveland Browns as 11.5-point favorites for this game and -575 moneyline favorites. The total is set for 43.5 points, with the over/under at -110.

I would bet the under for this game. Both these teams have been struggling offensively these past few weeks; in Week 10, the Browns scored 7 points, and the Lions scored 16. I don’t really expect either one of these teams to rack up the points, so the under seems like a solid bet.

While I’m confident the Browns will win this game, I don’t really trust them to cover the spread, considering that it’s a hefty spread at 11.5 points. I would bet the Browns to win but the Lions to cover the spread in this Week 11 game.
