• Both teams are coming off of a bye week
  • Brady will be out for revenge
  • Can Washington’s defense step up?

In the tenth week of the NFL regular season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-2) travel to FedEx Field to take on the Washington Football Team (2-6,) with kickoff scheduled for Sunday at 1pm EST.

Both these teams are entering this Week 10 game freshly rested, as they both had Week 9 byes. The Buccaneers are first in the NFC South, and they are widely regarded as the biggest Super Bowl contenders in the league.

However, they hope to bounce back with an easy win after losing to the New Orleans Saints in a surprising upset 36-27 in Week 8. Washington, on the other hand, are dead last in the NFC East, with a disappointing 2-6 record. They will try to keep the game competitive and end their four-game losing streak on Sunday.

Buccaneers Preview: An Easy Win

The Buccaneers are widely considered as one of the biggest Super Bowl contenders this year. How could they not be, with Tom Brady on their side? They’re rested and they’re ready for their seventh win of the season.

Despite struggling with injuries, the Bucs pretty much have this game in the bag. Brady’s mission will be to get that win after losing in Week 8 to the Saints. According to Pro Football Focus, the Bucs are near the top of the league in passing offense, while Washington is at the bottom of the league against the pass.

There’s not really a lot I can say about the Bucs that hasn’t already been said. I expect Brady and the rest of the Bucs team to run circles around Washington this week.

Washington Preview: Hopeless

Washington isn’t doing so great this season. With a 2-6 record, they’re at the bottom of the NFC East, a historically bad division. Their playoff chances are practically down the drain. Even though they’re entering this game fresh off a bye week, I really don’t see them slowing down the Bucs, especially since they’re hungry for a win to bounce back from their loss against the Saints.

Washington’s offense and defense have been lacking this year. Taylor Heinicke is a hot and cold player; he shines in some games, and in others, he struggles with basic passing. I really want to believe in the guy, but he just doesn’t have enough experience to perform consistently yet. Washington’s defense has also been a problem. Going into this season, their defense was supposed to be their biggest asset, and they have yet to make a name for themselves.

Even if Washington plays their best football this week, there’s no way that they win against Brady. It almost happened in last year’s NFC Wild Card Playoff game, but Washington is different now.

Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This Football Game

DraftKings Sportsbook has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as 9.5-point favorites for this game and -400 moneyline favorites. The total is set for 51.5 points, with the over/under at -110.

I think this will be a decently high-scoring game, as Brady will be out for revenge, so I would bet the over. Despite the offensive struggles Washington has had, I think that they will still be able to score a decent amount of points.

I’d be surprised if the Bucs don’t cover the spread. 9.5 points, to me, is not much for this Week 10 NFC matchup. I would bet the Bucs to both win and cover the spread.
