- Cardinals quarterback Kyle Murray and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins may be on the way back for Arizona.
- Chicago rallied behind its defense to stop a five-game losing streak and beat the Lions 16-14.
- The Bears lead the all-time series between the teams 57-28-6, but the teams have split the past four meetings.
The Cardinals showed their mettle following Murray’s injury by winning two of their past three games with veteran quarterback Colt McCoy under center. This stretch was especially important for Arizona, which collected two vital division wins to maintain its position atop the NFC West. Chicago fought through all the distractions surrounding the future of coach Matt Nagy to win its last game. The Bears are hoping that win will give them some traction.

Cardinals Preview: Help wanted, if available
Playing with a backup quarterback hasn’t been too much of a hindrance to the Cardinals. Arizona has won two of three, with both victories coming by double digits. Backup quarterback Colt McCoy has managed the game well, only throwing one interception and not losing any fumbles.
Wide receivers Christian Kirk, who has 628 yards, and A.J. Green, who has 538, have helped carry the passing game in DeAndre Hopkins’ absence. Running back James Conner has been a steady presence and ranks second in the leader with 12 rushing touchdowns and has averaged 5.8 yards per carry.
Bears Preview: Red Rifle building steam
Bears quarterback Andy Dalton is likely to get another start in place of Justin Fields, who is still recovering from an injury. Dalton passed for 317 yards and while the Bears still struggled to finish drives against the winless Lions, killed the clock with a long game-winning drive that ate up eight minutes off the clock.

The Bears defense will need to grapple with trying to force a turnover or two to take some pressure off the offense. Chicago ranks 26th in the league with 11 takeaways. While the Bears haven’t made a lot of big plays, they have been a disciplined group. Chicago has been penalized the sixth-least of any defense only being flagged 51 times.
Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This Football Game
Arizona hasn’t wilted in spots where it was big favorites this season and covered the spread in the other two games this season where they were favored by 7.5 points or more. When the Cardinals’ offense is humming, scoring more than their average of 23.1 points per game, they are 6-1 against the spread. Chicago is winless in three games this season when entering a game as 7.5 point underdogs.
In this contest, lean toward the Bears to cover the spread as Arizona still figures out what its lineup will look like. Even if the Cardinals get all of their players back, it will take some time for them to rebuild their chemistry. Arizona will win, but won’t blowout the Bears.
