- Both teams coming off razor-close wins
- Herbert and Jackson in the MVP conversation
- Both defenses allow too many yards
This is the best game in the early window of games. We get an AFC clash of elite offenses. We get to see the OROTY vs an MVP. Two MVP candidates against the lower-tier defense. It’s the Los Angeles Chargers against the Baltimore Ravens.
The visiting team, Los Angeles Chargers, are coming off a five-point victory against the Browns. Hebert and the highly charged offense total 493 total yards and 47 points.
However, their defense allowed 42 points and over 500 yards which is very poor. The Ravens are coming off an OT win against the 1-4 Indianapolis Colts. Jackson and his offensive flock totaled over 500 yards and 31 points. Yet their defense allowed over 500 yards and 23 points.

Chargers Preview: Picket fence
Justin Herbert has been playing at an MVP level and there is no denying that. This offense has been a scoring machine and has been firing on all cylinders. This team has been totaling over 400 yards, 28.4 ppg, and it’s all due to the elite play of this unit.

You can’t say the same for the defense. Their defense hasn’t been playing like a D-Fence but rather a picket fence. This is a blaring concern for a team with postseason hopes. They can’t let up 42 points in a game and expect to win big games. If this defense can close out big games then they can contend. But letting up 42 points to a high-powered offense is not good enough. They have to stop letting up big-time points to good offenses.
Ravens Preview: Big Truzz
Lamar Jackson in the flesh throwing up big numbers. He has been on top of his game and there has been nobody slowing him down. He has been the most versatile player thus far, beyond Corderelle Paterson, and has been the best player in the NFL. There has never been a player like him.
The Ravens will always be contenders as long as Lamar is at the top of his game. Currently, he’s fifth in the league in passing yards and eighth in the league in rushing yards. That is absolutely mind-shattering. As bats_tv would say, “you’re never out of a game with Lamar Jackson”. What can’t this man do!?
Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This NFL Game
It’s very frightening to me after the Chargers defense from last week. If they allow the Browns to have 500+ yards, I could only imagine what Harbaugh has up his sleeve for this matchup. Currently, the Ravens are favored by 3 points and the moneyline is -150.
Lamar Jackson is unstoppable and thus leads towards picking the Ravens. With a versatile offense, there is no telling what can happen but this Ravens offense can do. Considering the stellar potential of the defense, this would lead to believe this game belongs to the Ravens.
