- Eagles 1-1 after Week 2 loss to 49ers
- Cowboys 1-1 after Week 2 win at Chargers
- First NFC East game for either team this season
The NFC East was not synonymous with winning football last season, as a sub-.500 team made the postseason after winning the division. This year, though, one team is guaranteed to be above .500 after Week 3 as the 1-1 Cowboys face the 1-1 Eagles. In this Monday Night Football matchup, two dynamic quarterbacks take center stage, as Dak Prescott and Jalen Hurts look to take their teams to the top of the division for now.

Cowboys Preview: Cowboys Playing Tight Games
Through two games this season, no team has been involved in tighter games than the Dallas Cowboys so far. They lost their first game of the season by two points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and beat the Los Angeles Chargers by a field goal in Week 2. This week, they will hope for a much smoother ride against the Eagles on Monday Night Football, as they look to win a game convincingly for the first time this season.
If the Cowboys are going to do that, they will need to stop playing to the level of their competition offensively. Dallas kept up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ incredible offense in their season opener, but played a low-scoring game against a Chargers team that struggles to cash in red-zone chances in Week 2. Philadelphia is inconsistent themselves, and this game will likely come down to which offense can reliably deliver.
With second-year pass rusher Bradlee Anae in COVID-19 protocol, the defensive line’s depth will be tested once again.

Eagles Preview: Eagles Face Golden Opportunity
Early season division road games are great chances for a team to put themselves in an advantageous position. A win in those games gives that team an early division edge, with the knowledge that a home game against that same team awaits in the future. For the Philadelphia Eagles, that is the case this week, as they can get a leg up on the Cowboys with a chance to beat them at home later on.
If that is going to happen, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense will need to perform better than they did last week. Against the San Francisco 49ers, the Eagles were shut down all over the field and could not create points when they needed to.
Fortunately for Philadelphia, they face a Cowboys team here that is much easier to move the ball on and score against, which could push them over the top in this contest.
Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This NFL Game
It is hard to predict what each of these teams are going to bring on both sides of the ball each week, but the Eagles have an edge in this game based on the lack of health for the Dallas Cowboys.
Keanu Neal has joined the list of injured Cowboys defenders heading into this game, which should help the Eagles put points on the board. Take the Eagles to cover the spread in this game, as it should be a tight one regardless of who comes out on top.
