• Vikings and Cowboys coming off a bye
  • Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson are well-rested
  • Can the Cowboys score over 35 points for the 4th straight week?

Coming off the bye week, the Dallas Cowboys are ready to go after a good week of practice and well-needed rest. Starting quarterback Dak Prescott is set to go and will be starting under centre after his minor injury scare from the Cowboy’s Week 6 game against the Patriots.

As for the Vikings, they are also coming off a bye week, and it seems like that did wonders for the health of this squad. Back-up running back Alexander Mattison and wideout Adam Thielen have been dealing with some injury problems but were both involved in practice making their status for Sunday likely clear.

Cowboys Preview: Extremely Explosive Offence

This Cowboys offense is a high-powered well-oiled machine. They are averaging 34.2 PPG and 460.8 YPG, both good for the #1 spot in the league. But interestingly enough, they are going up against one of the best defenses in the league, doing it very quietly.

The Vikings are second in the league this season when it comes to stopping opponents on third down. On top of that, they are only allowing 22 PPG, but keeping the Cowboys under that 22 point mark would be a huge accomplishment this week.

But along with a high-flying passing game, the Cowboys have a great run game, headlined by star back Ezekiel Elliot. So far this season, the Cowboy’s O-line has been elite, only allowing nine sacks in six games and creating lanes for the backfield all season.

Vikings Preview: Attack of the Vikings

The Viking’s pass rush is unreal. I would have never noticed by just watching them but looking at the stats, and this team is first in the league with 21 sacks and 1st when pressuring the quarterback. Keeping these stats going will be key if they want to get to Prescott. He gets the ball out so quickly.

As for their offense, we all know what Cook and Jefferson can do, but Adam Thielen is quietly having a great season again. So far this season, he is averaging six receptions per game, 65.5 YPG and five touchdowns in six games. Against a Cowboys secondary that is really strong, distributing the ball properly will be key.

Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This NFL Game

The Cowboy’s offense is so explosive, and although I believe the Vikings might be the more complete team, you just can’t bet against an offense this hot. The Cowboys have been great against the spread all season, I would advise that you take them against the spread again.
