Buffalo Bills
- Target: Kenyan Drake, RB Las Vegas Raiders
The Bills have been a middle-of-the-pack rushing group for the past couple of seasons, largely due to inconsistent play from their current tailback tanden of Zack Moss and Devin Singeltary. Outside of Josh Allen, the Bills lack a true consistent threat in the backfield, and sorely need a player who can be that for them.
Enter Kenyan Drake, the dual-threat running back whose career has come to a bit of a crossroads following a promising start in Arizona just a few seasons ago. While injuries have largely impacted his ability to perform at a high level, Drake still has the talent to be a starting running back in this league-something he won’t find in Las Vegas. Enter Buffalo, who can offer Drake the opportunity to be the primary back while maintaining depth behind him with Moss and Singeltary.
Sounds like a win-win for both Drake and the Bills.
Kansas City Chiefs
- Target: Bryce Callahan, CB Denver Broncos
Callahan, one of the top slot corners in the league, has become one of the hottest trade commodities across the NFL in recent weeks. It’s easy to see why, as he ranked first in the league by allowing a passer rating of 46.9 in coverage.
Despite these numbers, Callahan has become expendable to a Broncos secondary that added free agent corners Ronald Darby, Kyle Fuller and first round pick Patrick Surtain II. The Chiefs could bolster their depth behind L’Jarius Sneed and Charvarius Ward with the addition of Callahan, giving them a true shutdown slot corner.
Baltimore Ravens
Target: Philip Lindsay, RB Houston Texans
With J.K. Dobbins out for the season with a torn ACL, the Ravens could use some depth behind backup Gus Edwards. Enter Philip Lindsay, a 27 year old 1x Pro Bowl running back who was ousted from the Broncos backfield this past offseason. With the Texans having Lindsay, Mark Ingram and David Johnson in the backfield, the Ravens could swoop in and offer a late round pick for the former University of Colorado star.
This would give the Ravens depth behind Edwards, and allow them to utilize a “running back by committee” approach that would wear defenses down.
Tennessee Titans
- Target: Derek Barnett, DE Philadelphia Eagles
Barnett, a former Super Bowl champ and first round pick for the Eagles, seems to be nearing the end of his time in Philly. While still just 25 years old, Barnett remains a productive pass rusher, having recorded at least 5.5 sacks over his past two seasons.
With the Titans desperately needing help on the defensive line, Barnett would offer them solid production at a reasonable price.
