The Offense

Blake Bortles was on his way out until he had a very good season in 2017 with an improved passer rating from 78.8 to 84.7.  Cody Kessler will be the backup QB and Tanner Lee fills in the third spot.

Running Backs:

Leonard Fournette is one of the best running backs in the NFL. He averaged 3.9 yards per carry and was the workhorse of the unit. T.Y. Yeldon returns from 253 yards last year and Corey Grant with his 248 yards. The fullback spot belongs to Tommy Bohannon.

Donte Moncrief and DJ Clark were signed as free agents to help solidify the receiving corps. Marquise Lee is back and he opens to increase his 56 catches from a year ago. Tight end will be handed to Austin Seferian Jones.

Offensive Linemen:

Andrew Norwell was given a large contract to upgrade this unit. It is hoped he can open some holes for Fournette and others to run through on their way to a score. Cam Robinson and Brandon Lindler will be on the line with Norwell.

The Defense

Defensive Linemen:

This is a good unit that is eight-man deep for the coming season. Florida rookie Taven Bryan from Florida will work alongside of Abry Jackson and Marcell Dareus to get to the opposition. This group may carry the team far.

Two proven linebackers are returning as Telvin Smith and Myles Jack will work the outside and inside. Blair Brown is the third linebacker and Wisconsin product and seventh-round pick Leon Jacobs will fight for playing time.

Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye are two outstanding cornerbacks and they are back in 2018. DJ Hayden was signed as a free agent the safety spots are for Barry Church and Tashaun Gipson.

Special Teams

Punter Logan Cooke was drafted from Mississippi State and will get the start and long snapper Carson Tinker returns from injury from last season. Corey Grant will be the primary kick returner.
