- Tyrod Taylor makes the Texans so much better
- Zach Wilson is back
- Barn Burner?
Four weeks removed from a PCL injury and now fully healthy, Zach Wilson is back under center for a Jets team that needs him. In his six games played this season, he has turned the ball over in five of them. For this rookie to show improvement, he will have to continue to work on taking care of the football while still being effective.
As for the Texans, the return of Tyrod Taylor has added a little spark to this team that has looked down and out really since Week two. Last week they were able to top the 8-2 Titans 22-13 in a rainy grind-it-out kind of game. Although the Titans have been depleted, that is still a big win for a team that has had trouble stacking up wins.

Jets Preview: Moore is Here
Finally, what Jets fans have been waiting for all season… a break-out game for rookie Elijah Moore. The former Ole Miss wideout was targeted 11 times last week, catching eight balls for 141 yards and a touchdown. Joe Flacco was the quarterback last week, so that has to be considered, but that is great news for Zach Wilson, seeing what Moore can do when delivered the football.
These last handful of games are meaningless for the Jets but will be a great opportunity for them to build some forward momentum into next season while also developing their rookie signal-caller.
Texans Preview: Secondary on Fire
The Texan’s secondary has been on fire as of late, picking off Ryan Tannehill four times last week and accumulating six in their previous two games, bringing back two for touchdowns. This will be a key matchup for them in this game with Wilson’s knack for giving up the ball. A couple of interceptions could be in their future.
As for their offense, everything runs through Tyrod Taylor. Last week he wasn’t spectacular, but he did enough running and passing to get the job done for the Texans. The Jet’s defense is nowhere near the Titans in terms of skill, so it’s likely his production takes a step forward.
Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This NFL Game
This game can go either way, and both teams really have nothing to lose coming into this one, so I’m expecting a barn burner. The Over should be paired with the pick in this one to add a little more value; 44.5 is not a lot of points for two teams who will be trying anything.
With the return of Taylor, I like the Texans in this one, but the Jets could easily come out and surprise them. But the secondary of this Houston squad leads me to believe Wilson might have some troubles keeping possession.
