Firstly, allow me to state that I just have a one-word opinion that you will find out at the end of this article. But for the purposes of this article, I will try to elaborate on it in 500 words. Lamar Jackson is one of the best quarterbacks I have ever seen in my 23 years of watching football. From watching his career blossom at Louisville to where he is now, I can not help but be amazed at how he’s taken the league by storm.

Secondly, his ability to throw the ball is mesmerizing in itself. You never know what you’re going to get from Sunday to Sunday with his athletic ability. In my opinion, he’s a player that likes to keep you guessing with every touch of the football. in other words, you never know whether he’s gonna be spectacular or throw the ball away. He is a highlight reel of a quarterback providing spectacular plays that leave fans in attendance in awe. any team would be lucky to acquire his services. He certainly proved that time and time again in his time in a Ravens uniform.

Jackson’s NFL and College Resume

In his career thus far, he has won the NFL most valuable player award, became a first team all pro and became the NFL’s passing touchdown leader, as well as a 2 time pro bowler in 2019 and 2021. Not to mention he won the Heisman Trophy in 2016 back when he was at college in Louisville I mean who wouldn’t want that on their résumé. That along with his prolific play is a marketing dream for many companies. I get into some specific examples in my next point.

Superstar Status

Thirdly, there’s no denying that Lamar Jackson is a superstar. Any franchise’s value would immediately rise with his acquisition And just think of the ways they can market products in the local area.

Currently he has over 3.2 million followers on Instagram and over 1.1 million followers on Twitter (at the time of this writing) any brand would be foolish not to capitalize on the star power that this man possesses. Not to mention, if he plays well, any brand can use that as incentive to offer certain price reduction on their products.

The possibilities are endless. My whole point is this, he has star power. from his baby face to the way he conducts himself on and off the field, Any team’s image would immediately be enhanced. Having multiple charities, That he likes to give back to opens the door for collaboration between the charities and the team itself thus enhancing not only the teams image but the charity’s image in a positive way as well.

Lastly, I think this whole situation is very dumb because a player of Lamar’s caliber should not have to endure this. He should be locked in to a contract for an extended period of time and then be allowed to test free agency but that’s the way the cookie crumbles in the NFL. Now here’s hoping Lamar can make his way back home and join the Miami Dolphins… at least one can hope
